20 years ago, I began my search for a horse that had special shoes to fill and God placed this incredible guy in my path. I will never forget when I asked Liz Flor if he could be tough in the novice amateur western pleasure she said “that would be like bringing a bomb to a knife fight”. His barn name was Fred at the time - Barry didn’t know if he liked that and we knew it was bad luck to change it so we called him Freed because that’s truly what Barry was when he rode him. He loved donuts and on special occasions he literally looked like the Cookie Monster when Barry would bring his special treat. He was one of a kind with the kindest of souls and the biggest heart and he will be missed beyond measure. Our deepest condolences go out to Barry 💗
