Extreme cold ahead! โ„๏ธA frigid cold front will move into our area beginning Sunday through Tuesday. Gusty winds are also forecast for Sunday evening. As always, be prepared for possible power outages! Single-digit wind chills certainly arenโ€™t something weโ€™re accustomed to here in Southeast Georgia, so bundle up and please take extra precautions.

โš ๏ธ Remember that your heating system will be working harder than usual. Set your thermostat to 68ยฐ or below to avoid extreme energy use.
โš ๏ธ Prevent frozen pipes by leaving faucets on a slow drip and opening cabinet doors to expose plumbing. Insulate outdoor pipes and faucets.
โš ๏ธ Use space heaters and alternate heat sources with care.
โš ๏ธ Make a plan for anyone who needs special assistance, including pets.

We will be monitoring over the weekend. Stay warm and safe!
