Shelley began her journey in public safety as a 9-1-1 dispatcher in 2001 and currently serves as a Sergeant at Burke County 911. Over the last 3 years with Burke County, she’s continued to grow under the leadership of Director Silas and Chief Barrs, gaining valuable experience and knowledge along the way.

After attending the Virtual Gold Flame Conference, Shelly shared that it was “simply amazing,” and she’s excited for the opportunity to continue networking, learning, and discovering new ways to grow in her career and better serve her community.

Our Director, Shelter Manager and Officer drove down to Glynn County to deliver two trucks full of donated food, cat litter, dog houses and supplies. These donations are going to Brantley County to help those residents and pets who have been affected by the South Georgia Wildfires. Burke County Strong!!
