Dutch Country Animal Rescue We are a 501c3 approved organization on a mission to rescue and find a safe haven for displaced or abused animals, with foster homes in NY, PA, NJ, MD, & TX.

Our vision is for all animals to be given the opportunity to live in a peaceful environment with a warm place to rest their head, proper medical care, a full belly, and to truly know the meaning of love. Our mission is to rescue abused or abandoned animals that otherwise would not have a chance. Most of our rescues come from puppy mills and high-kill shelters around

the country. Our organization is run entirely by a network of volunteers, so all public funds received are used directly for the rescue and care of animals in need. We typically rescue those that need us most; mill dogs at risk of being destroyed and dogs on death row in kill shelters. We can always use your help! As summer approaches, it's important to remember that rising temperatures can be dangerous for our dogs. Always provide plenty of fresh water, avoid walks during the hottest parts of the day, and remember that pavement can burn sensitive paw pads. Never leave a dog unattended in a parked vehicleβ€”even for a few minutes!

A little extra caution can help keep our four-legged friends safe, healthy, and happy all summer long!

⚠️ Recall Alert ⚠️

Go Raw LLC has expanded its February 17, 2026 recall to include an additional lot of Freeze-Dried Chicken Recipe due to potentially low thiamine (Vitamin B1) levels.

What is thiamine (Vitamin B1) and why it is important?

Thiamine is an essential vitamin that supports normal metabolism and neurological function in both dogs and cats.

Over time, a thiamine-deficient diet may lead to signs such as reduced appetite, vomiting, excessive salivation, weight loss or poor growth. Pet owners should contact their veterinarian if they observe any concerning clinical signs.

The recall has now been expanded to include the following additional lot. The recalled freeze dried product is sold in a beige, ziplock, 1.25lb package with a maroon stripe.

Hannah recently had her very first professional spa day, and we'd say she's feeling pretty fabulous about it! After a fresh haircut, this sweet pup is looking and feeling like a brand-new dog.

Beneath that gorgeous new look is the same happy, playful Hannah we've all come to love. She continues to blossom every day, showing off more of her spunky personality and keeping her foster sisters busy with plenty of games of chase and zoomies.

We think Hannah is pretty proud of her makeover... and honestly, we can't blame her!
