Congratulations to Misty who was recently adopted in New York! This sweet little bundle of non-stop energy came to us as a breeder release from New York several months ago. Now, as she begins her new life, she’ll do so with a loving mom, dad, fur-sister, and new name; Mollie!

Many thanks to Mollie’s foster mom, Nancy, for caring for her while we searched for her forever home, to Sharon for helping with transportation, and to Karen Lizza for being Mollie’s sponsor angel. We couldn’t do it without you and we thank you for helping make this beautiful new beginning possible!

Please join us in welcoming Cookie to the DCAR family! Cookie is a 5 year old Ruby Cavalier who is a recent breeder release from New York. This beautiful girl is getting settled into her foster home and we will keep you updated as she adjusts to her new life outside of the mill.

Hey East Coasters!

‘Tis the season to shop local in beautiful Beach Haven, NJ!

Join us this Saturday and Sunday, November 8th and 9th, from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM for a fun weekend of seaside shopping and community spirit. Our amazing volunteers Wendy, John, and Jane will be there with a stunning selection of sea glass treasures (collected from England, Italy, and across the U.S.), shells, and other unique finds — all to help support veterinary care for our rescue dogs.

We hope to see you there!

This past month, we said goodbye to several beloved DCAR rescues, each cherished by their adopters, and each of whom touched our lives at DCAR: Cagney and Luca. They were not just companions but heroes who overcame hardships and filled our hearts with their unwavering loyalty.

We honor their resilience, their love, and the joy they brought into our lives. They reminded us of the strength and compassion found in even the smallest of hearts.

As they cross the Rainbow Bridge, we carry their memories with us, grateful for the paw prints they left on our lives and in our hearts. May they run free and enjoy endless fields of green, comforted by the love they gave and received.

Forever loved, forever remembered.
