Dutch Country Animal Rescue

Dutch Country Animal Rescue We are a 501c3 approved organization on a mission to rescue and find a safe haven for displaced or abused animals, with foster homes in NY, PA, NJ, MD, & TX.

𝑾𝒆 𝒕𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒉 𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒄𝒖𝒆 𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒚! Our vision is for all animals to be given the opportunity to live in a peaceful environment with a warm place to rest their head, proper medical care, a full belly, and to truly know the meaning of love. Our mission is to rescue abused or abandoned animals that otherwise would not have a chance. Most of our rescues come from puppy mills and high-kill shelters around

the country. Our organization is run entirely by a network of volunteers, so all public funds received are used directly for the rescue and care of animals in need. We typically rescue those that need us most; mill dogs at risk of being destroyed and dogs on death row in kill shelters. We can always use your help! If you are interested in getting involved, we would love to hear from you! Please send us an email at [email protected].

Our sweet rescue girl Misty wants to give a big thank you to her sponsor, Karen Lizza, for supporting her while she’s in foster care. Karen, your generosity helps provide Misty with food, veterinary care, and anything else she needs while she waits for her forever family. Thank you, Karen ... you’re the best!

They went hard in the zoomies … now they’re ready to go hard in the snoozies! Princess (back) is learning how sweet playtime (and nap time!) can be with her foster fur-sibling.

Princess, our rescue from a hoarding case, is progressing very well and is a happy little girl. The mischievous puppy in her is coming out, and she is starting to explore more, but she is still not touchable, only allowing the occasional chest pets.

Take your time, Princess—healing is a journey, not a race.

Happy news! Abby has been adopted! After more than 6 months in foster care, this sweet puppy mill mama has finally found the perfect home with one of our previous adopters. 🥰 Abby, pictured below left, is enjoying life with her new sister Sophie (formerly Holley who was adopted in 2019).
Thank you to the Miller family for fostering and to MaryJo Trovato, her sponsor, whose monthly donation helped offset the ever rising costs of vet care.

We are grateful to all of our volunteers and donors who help ensure dogs like Abby are healthy and happy as they start their new lives outside the cage!
