VetPrep was born in 2003 when a small group of veterinary students became frustrated with the resources available to prepare for the NAVLE. We looked at the interactive study tools available to other professions and complained that nobody made anything like this for veterinary students. We committed ourselves to developing the best study resource of its kind, building a team of our peers and profe

ssors while incorporating state-of-the-art technology to deliver the first program of its kind. What was initially planned as a brief 6-month project turned into 2+ years of design and development before the VetPrep site went live in 2006. Initial feedback was extremely positive and within one year, VetPrep became widely adopted as the study resource of choice for NAVLE preparation. Since that time, we have worked continuously to expand and improve the database of content and the features available in VetPrep. Our team of content providers and reviewers has expanded to include preeminent experts in most of the veterinary specialties and we all remain extremely committed to the original mission that spawned VetPrep: namely, helping veterinary students and providing the most helpful, interactive, and up-to-date resource available for veterinary board exam preparation. We have been extremely appreciative of the support we have received from veterinary students and the veterinary community over the years. It is hard to believe that we have now been working at this for over 10 years and we feel extremely privileged to have been able to help so many veterinarians reach their goals. To show our appreciation and to give back to students, VetPrep has sponsored countless veterinary student events, supported veterinary charitable causes, and awarded veterinary service trips and other prizes to deserving students through our participation in the veterinary and student community. At VetPrep, we aim to provide the very best resource, service, and support available to veterinary students. We regularly review all student feedback and continually make additions and improvements to the VetPrep course.

🚨 Pharmacology and toxicology prep is next week

Pharmacology on the NAVLE® can feel overwhelming with so many drug classes, mechanisms, and exceptions to remember. This focused session is designed to help you simplify the material, prioritize high-yield concepts, and retain what matters most for exam day.

Led by Cory Muto, PharmD, and Warren Finlinson, PharmD, you will learn how to classify major drug classes and mechanisms of action, match drugs to indications, contraindications, and side effects, recognize key toxicities and drug interactions, and apply pharmacology to case-based scenarios.

A mini toxicology session on 9/2 will also be led by Renee Schmid, DVM, DABT, DABVT, covering common small animal toxins, mechanisms, clinical signs, and treatment.
