Tia's pups now 10 days. They grow so fast.
Puppy facts from Randy Allen
1. Deaf when born. Hearing is last sense that fully develops. Can't hear until around 3 weeks.
2. Blind when born, 10-14 days puppies will start opening eyes, around 8 weeks will start getting full vision
3. Smell the only sense a puppy is born with. Puppies smell immediately. That's how they navigate to feed once born. This is a dogs strongest sense.
4. Nostrils and Air Paths - did you know Labradors and other dogs have dual nose pathways. Yes! This allows dog to determine direction of smell while hunting, doing a investigation search or while being active, but at the same time can breath and continue to use nose to smell. So cool.
