โ๏ธ๐ก๏ธ Hot Weather Reminder: Protect Your Pets! ๐พ๐
As we continue to experience these warm summer days and look to head into another hot weekend, it's important to remember that the heat can become dangerous for our pets much faster than it does for us.
Whether you're going for a walk, spending the day at the lake, enjoying a backyard BBQ, or running errands, take a few extra precautions to keep your furry family members safe.
๐พ Walk during the cooler morning or evening hours.
๐ง Always provide access to fresh, cool water.
๐ณ Make sure your pet has plenty of shade when outdoors.
๐ Never leave your pet in a parked vehicle (even with the windows cracked).
๐ If your pet seems tired or reluctant to exercise, head indoors and let them cool down.
Heatstroke is a life-threatening emergency that can develop quickly. If your pet is experiencing excessive panting, difficulty breathing, weakness, vomiting, collapse, or seems unusually lethargic after being in the heat, seek veterinary care immediately.
Our emergency team is here 24 hours a day, 7 days a week if your pet needs us.๏ธ...
