Great opportunity to join the team at a professional horse boarding and training facility right here in Waterloo, IL, helping to care for 24 horses!

We’re looking to add either part-time or full-time team members to our barn team, a great opportunity to work in a clean and well managed barn, with opportunities to ride and grow your equestrian knowledge.

We have flexible options for hours, with full time being 35-45 hours a week on average, and part time 10-15, competitive hourly rate.

Our barn team mainly works two shifts, morning from roughly 6am to 10am and afternoons from 4pm to 8pm depending on weather and season.

Primary duties are stall cleaning, watering, turning out and bringing in horses to pasture, depending on experience or if you’re keen to learn there are opportunities for performing ground work with the horses, riding, feeding, grooming too.

Preferably you’ll be 18 years plus (part time positions 16 plus and able to arrange transportation) with a car license & previous experience working with horses would be an advantage.
Physically fit and able to carry a 50lb hay bale, and comfortable working in indoor/outdoor conditions on a beautiful property.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a desire to learn and join a team to gain experience in barn management, ride & learn from equestrian professionals.

First UDJC Show in St Louis with Dressage, Hunter & Jumper competitions on the weekend. All the girls did fantastic having fun with alot of success & great comments from the judges! Thank you to David Reichert the organizers Silver Fox Stables, judges & everyone else for their support & effort. Thanks to The Golden Horseshoe Equestrian for the great support & ice-cream!
Plus a quick trip back home Saturday night for the most amazing fireworks!!

So this is what DREAMS are made of, one of our students takes a clinic here with Olympian Tom Tarver a year ago, then leaves for Germany & doesn't come back! Now jumping her first 1* 1.25 to 1.30m. Congratulations Claire so proud of you & how far you have come with Calico & Happy!!
