🐾 WE’RE HIRING: ADOPTION COUNSELOR! 📄

Cedar Bend Humane Society is seeking energetic, outgoing, and compassionate animal advocates (18+) to join our Adoption Counselor team!

Adoption Counselors play a key role in helping animals find lifelong homes while creating positive experiences for adopters, volunteers, and visitors. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with both people and animals and wants to make a direct impact in the lives of homeless pets. ❤️

Position Details:
🐾 Part-Time | 20–30 hours per week
💰 $13–$14/hour
📅 Shifts between 8 AM–6 PM
📅 Includes weekends and some holidays

📣 WE’RE HIRING: ADOPTION SUPERVISOR! 🐾

Are you a friendly, outgoing animal-lover with a knack for leading a team? Cedar Bend Humane Society is looking for a hands-on Adoption Supervisor to lead our adoption counselors in finding loving homes for shelter animals — both here at the shelter and at off-site adoption events.

This is a working supervisor role: you'll be right alongside your team greeting visitors, helping adopters find their perfect match, and pitching in with animal care, all while also managing schedules, coaching staff, and handling the occasional tricky situation with a cool head.

Position Details:
🐾 Full-Time
💰 $18–$20/hour
📅 Tuesday–Saturday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM

What You'll Do:
• Lead, train, and support our adoption counselors
• Work the floor daily alongside your team — this isn't a desk job
• Help adopters find the right pet for their home and coach them through the transition
• Keep our adoption center clean, animals cared for, and operations running smoothly
• Represent CBHS at off-site adoption events and help fuel our social media presence
• Partner with our medical and kennel teams to keep animals healthy and adoption-ready

What We're Looking For:
• Prior supervisory/management experience
• Experience working with animals in a shelter, vet, or similar setting
• A friendly, outgoing personality with excellent customer service skills
• Comfort handling a variety of animals — dogs, cats, and small animals alike
• Someone who stays calm under pressure and thrives in a fast-paced environment
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
