Curly is a happy girl, known for her signature wiggle-dance when it’s walk time. She’s an easy walker and enjoys short and long walks. She is a little plump but as she loses weight, she is becoming even more animated at playtime. At only 31 pounds and 19 inches tall, this girl is sure to steal your heart!

We are working on crate training and although she is not thrilled about being crated, she does not put up a fuss when asked to go in. It’s possible Curly may do best in a household with someone working from home/stay at home caregiver. She gets along well with our other dogs who are quite rambunctious. Curly is very calm and enjoys watching the other dogs’ antics but is content on the sidelines. She rarely barks and is an avid cuddler.

Curly has been a perfect little guest and is ready to bring love to a new family.

Bella is your standard "pit"iful....extremely cuddly, playful, and gets the pitty paws in cold temps once her zoomies are out. She is completely house trained but has been allowed access to the couch and bed since she was a wee little pup and prefers to sleep and lounge there. She has gotten into the trash a few times but a locking lid and some training seems to have fixed that so far. She's been very friendly with the younger kid she's met but her size and energy would likely be better suited for family with older children. A fenced yard or other daily exercise would be needed to keep her energy level in balance.
Bella is reported to be dog friendly and it’s unknown how she is with cats. She can be vocal when she wants something and enjoys playing with her stuffed toys.

Dursley is a big goofy puppy ready for love and attention!
He wants to be with you, playing and doing puppy things.
He is kennel trained but may require a kennel that doesn't allow for an easy escape.

He thrives on positive reinforcement and treat driven training, and while it might take him several tries he does have a good capacity to learn once he understands the ask!

Friendly with dogs and while he needs some finishing touches he's got great potential to be a playful companion for your family!

Marbles is a playful, sweet, pretty young lady. She weighs about 25-30lbs, but her foster parents think she could easily get 2-3 times bigger by the size of her paws. Marbles loves to play tug of war with her furry foster family and then snuggle with her humans when she gets tired. Still working on being fully potty trained, but definitely has become more and more comfortable using the dog door the last few weeks.

Oscar is a terrier mix from the western coast of Alaska. He’s an energetic, smart boy who loves food (especially fish and chicken) and enjoys doing zoomies around the yard. He is house-trained and sleeps in a kennel at night, which helps him settle.

He loves toys, but they should not have eyes or sewn-on pieces since he’ll chew those off (he doesn’t swallow them). When Oscar first arrived he was skittish and fearful, but after a couple of weeks he calmed down and became a very loving and kind dog. He’s still learning to enjoy car rides, city noises, and people passing by, and he’s working on not barking — and he’s making great progress!

Everest is a typical young Great Dane. She is very playful and unaware of her size. She is friendly towards other dogs and has shown a willingness to play with all of the dogs in the house. Everest is doing well on going potty outside. She does best if taken directly outside when leaving her crate after meal breaks. Everest is crate trained and sleeps in the crate at night. Everest is very food driven.

We have this beautiful St. Bernard coming into rescue ASAP. She got a chain wrapped around her leg, and her foot froze.

Due to the nature of her injuries we expect this to end in an amputation.

We, first and most importantly, need a foster in the Anchorage /Matsu area.

Secondly, we are humbly asking for your assistance to cover her vet bills. See the end of this post to find out how to contribute.

Donald was once a timid boy who is now bravely taking on the neighborhood, one sniff at a time. Donald sleeps out in the living room but enjoys morning cuddles on the couch. He has met more friends (both human and dog) and has done well, even with kids! He’s the perfect weighted blanket and is ready to bring his unique charm and unwavering loyalty to his forever home. Funny, sweet, and such a cutie! He is a perfect balance of playful and chill.

Bisque is a petite and uniquely colored tortie/tabby mix who has done a fabulous job raising 4 crazy kittens! She loves to greet you with a loud meow, but be careful--her favorite thing to do is jump on your back to say hi! She loves brushing and resting on high places. She does prefer a very clean litter box and does not like natural litter. Bisque has been an attentive and patient mama, and is ready for a little self care time.

Quellion is happy and excitable but can also be a bit shy when meeting new people. He has the cutest play bow and loves exploring. He is kennel trained and is doing well with potty training. He is very food motivated and seems to thoroughly enjoy training sessions. He’s spunky and will bark during play, but otherwise is not very vocal. He has about a medium energy and can easily entertain himself if he doesn’t have a playmate.

Chowder has become much more social as he's gotten older. He used to be a very independent kitten, but now is first in line to hop on your lap and chase toys. He has a magnificent purr which he engages immediately when brushed. He does take a minute to warm up to new people, but once he knows you, he will be your best buddy! He would do well with another cat to help him continue to be a brave, social guy!
