After 10 days Banjo has been found! Thank you to all who has helped with his return!

Help us find one of our beloved patients Banjo!
He has been missing for 6 days when he got out of his harness. Last confirmed sighting Saturday near Main Street Storage and possibly one on Monday in the same area by the grassy woods. If there is a sighting please DO NOT CHASE, he is scared.

🐾 August is Itchy Pet Awareness Month!

While it’s normal for pets to have the occasional itch (don’t we all!) sometimes it can be indicative of something more uncomfortable for pets like allergies, parasites, or other skin conditions.

The Importance of Pre-Surgical Testing.
When you bring your pet in for a procedure, we always discuss our pre-surgical testing. Which includes a EKG of their heart and a complete bloodwork panel.
The EKG is a non-invasive test that records the electrical activity of the heart to diagnose various heart conditions.
The Bloodwork is a panel that is performed to provide a broad overview of their health, assessing blood cells, organ function, metabolism, and risk factors for disease. 
Meet Helen a 14 year old DSH feline. Helen was brought in for a dental. When the results of her EKG came back abnormal. Upon further diagnostics Helen was diagnosed with a Peritoneal- Pericardial diaphragmatic hernia, ( A congenital defect allowing abdominal organs to herniate into the pericardial sac. Which can cause respiratory and cardiac complications.)
This is why no matter what age we recommend pre-surgical testing. A yearly wellness exam is great for an overall check, but we don’t know what is happening internally without diagnostics.

Amazing progress in just 48 hours! 🤩
