Meet Skye 🐾

This beautiful Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever stopped by Palisades Veterinary Clinic for her big-girl vaccine visit with Dr. Mazin—and she handled it like a pro.

Skye did great and, of course, made sure to enjoy plenty of treats along the way. We love watching our patients grow up and thrive—it’s one of the best parts of what we do.

🐾 Meet Dr. Siech, Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Siech earned her veterinary degree from Iowa State University in 2021, graduating summa cm laude. She spent two years practicing general medicine at a small animal clinic in Metro Atlanta before making the move to DC.

Her professional interests include internal medicine, preventative care, client education, and surgery. Dr. Siech is passionate about creating personalized care plans and making sure pet parents feel informed and confident every step of the way.

As a devoted pet parent herself, she truly understands the human-animal bond and treats every patient with the same compassion she gives her own calico cat, Arya 🐱💙
When she’s not in the clinic, you’ll likely find her staying active outdoors—running, hiking, canoeing, or spending time gardening 🌿

Meet Dr. Mazin 🐾
From New York City to the DMV (with a stop in Scotland along the way 🇬🇧), Dr. Mazin brings a wealth of experience and a calm, skilled approach to caring for your pets. He attended veterinary school at the University of Glasgow before returning to the U.S., where he spent several years in emergency medicine in Virginia.
Since joining Palisades Veterinary Clinic in 2019, Dr. Mazin has been a trusted part of our team, with special interests in:

• Emergency medicine
• Soft tissue surgery
• Orthopedics
• Endoscopy

Outside the clinic, you’ll likely find him out on the trails or by the water with his three Australian Shepherd mixes—Sophia, Cooper, and Emma 🐶🐶🐶—or enjoying some fishing or kayaking around DC.
