UPDATE: Last night the House of Representatives passed the Prevent All Soring Tactics (PAST) Act! This legislation is critical to ending the inhumane act of horse soring. The PAST Act will now be sent to the Senate for consideration.

This year we had over 200 veterinary professionals from 49 states plus Puerto Rico attend 246 meetings with congressional offices.

Participants educated lawmakers on Capitol Hill about the need to increase access to veterinary services in rural areas through the Veterinary Medicine Loan Repayment Program Enhancement Act and strengthen our public health infrastructure by passing the Healthy Dog Importation Act.
