National PrideSVMC is excited to invite you to our final intersectionality panel of the school year, a space dedicated to exploring the diverse experiences, challenges, and perspectives at the intersection of veterinary medicine, LGBTQIA+, and Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) identities.

This panel will bring together students and professionals to share personal insights, discuss representation in the field, and reflect on how culture, identity, and community shape our experiences in veterinary medicine. Whether you identify as AANHPI or are interested in learning and supporting your peers, all are welcome to join the conversation.

For folks headed out to SAVMA Symposium, join us for a Pride Town Hall, a space for LGBTQ+ veterinary students and allies to come together, build community, and connect with peers from veterinary schools across the country. We’ll discuss current events impacting the LGBTQ+ community, share experiences from our campuses, and create space for meaningful conversation and support. Hello Pride SVMC Chapters,

We hope this email finds you doing okay during this time period. Due to the government shutdown and rising threats against our transgender and BIPOC community members, as well as the larger LGBTQIA+ community as a whole, we are hosting an emergency town hall meeting that will serve as both a support group and a source of resources for any and all community members. We also want to take this opportunity to say that Pride SVMC stands with our transgender and BIPOC community members and pledges our unwavering support and to assist them in any way within our capabilities. Please spread the word about this meeting to your chapters and peers so that we may come together as a community to support one another during this challenging time. The meeting will begin at 7:30 EST (4:30 P.M PST, 5:30 PM MST, 6:30 P.M. CST) and will remain open for three hours for drop-ins. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns.
