Huge thank you to Sharon Community Center for having us again today! We had a great time training - working on crosswalk work, weaving, greeting people, and just hanging out during groups. Your space made it all possible!

Thank you to Liberty Mutual today for coming to GOFI to help us get some things done around the farm. We got a lot accomplished, and the team was able to meet some of our residents, including our cats Liberty and Biberty!

Thank you to all the dogs that stepped up and helped support towns in need, not just today, but everyday.

Earlier in the week, we highlighted an article written about one of our Community Resource Dog’s, Officer Rocket, and the work that he does around town. However, his reach along with many of his family members. extends far beyond the Town of Needham limits.

This morning, as school resource officers and department members were digging into the beginning part of the week, the Town of Medfield was struck with a tragedy and comfort dogs were immediately requested.

Within an hour’s notice, dogs from Medfield, Needham, Dedham, Brookline, Newton, Wrentham, and the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office all descended upon Medfield High School.

These compassionate canines brought more than just wagging tails—they brought a sense of calm, comfort, and connection to students and staff alike. In moments of tragedy, the presence of comfort dogs can make a world of difference.

We’re incredibly thankful for the departments and handlers who share their time and their amazing dogs like Rocket, who can respond within a moments notice. Their support helped Medfield High School community begin to heal, together.
