Meet Kat😻

She came in for a limp, but somehow managed to walk away with all of our hearts... and our laps. This little heartbreaker had everyone wrapped around her tiny paws from the moment she arrived.

If you eat something stupid and have to come to AcutePet, we make you a part of the team for your visit.

Rex got himself into a little trouble after eating something he shouldn't have. Luckily, his owner acted quickly and brought him in right away. We safely induced vomiting to remove the unwanted snack, then reversed the medication afterward so the nausea wouldn't linger longer than necessary.

Rex did a great job during his visit (and even helped around the office a bit), and we're especially grateful to his owner for recognizing the issue and seeking care immediately. Quick action can make all the difference when pets get into things they shouldn't!

When your pup gets hurt on a Saturday afternoon, you shouldn't have to wait. 🧡 This German Shepherd dad found that out firsthand after a high-flying game with the ball left his pup with a shoulder injury — and our Bellevue team was able to get him seen and cared for that same day.

Here's what he had to say: "They truly love animals and really care about your pet." That's the kind of care we strive for, every single day. 🐾

Today is the official birthday for many shelter and rescue dogs who don't have a known birth date. It's a day to celebrate these amazing pets and the joy they bring to our communities.

Miss Layla would like everyone to know that sometimes being adorable is a full-time job... and apparently so is worrying your family.

After feeling a little under the weather, this sweet girl stopped by for some extra TLC and cuddles from our team. Thankfully, she was able to head home with a treatment plan, lots of love, and strict instructions to take it easy (though we're not sure she got that memo).

We're hoping Layla gets back to her favorite activities soon: soaking up attention, collecting snacks, and reminding everyone she's the cutest girl in the room.

If you remember "The Dog" from the early 2000s, meet Gunner... because he is absolutely the dog.

Such golden. Much cute. Very tummy ache.

After deworming and a possible berry buffet, Gunner arrived with some vomiting and diarrhea. The good news? His exam looked great, he's bright and alert, and we're helping get his tummy back on track.

Moral of the story: not everything that grows outside is a snack, Gunner.🧡

Cover Story: Taco's Itch Relief Era

This month's cover girl, Taco, arrived with an important mission: finding relief from some persistent itchiness. Accompanied by her devoted entourage of two adoring little humans, Taco checked in ready for answers and, as always, plenty of love.

Our feature star spent her visit soaking up attention while we discussed options to help keep her comfortable and feeling her best. Between tail wags, curious looks, and making sure her kids were nearby, Taco reminded us that the best patients often come with the sweetest support teams.

Now entering her Less Scratch, More Snuggle Era, Taco is heading home with a plan, a brighter outlook, and two very happy fans cheering her on every step of the way.

We knew our Summerville team had personality, but we didn't expect over a million people to feel it too! This fun post struck a chord, making so many smile because it's real and genuine. It shows what happens when work doesn't feel like work, but like joy. Every AcutePet clinic has its own character, and we appreciate Summerville bringing that joy to life. Never a dull moment!

After spending the day with our team, sweet Leo is heading home feeling much brighter and better! ✨

Leo came to see us after not feeling quite like himself, and our doctors and nurses were able to provide supportive care, monitoring, and plenty of TLC while we ran diagnostics to learn more. Throughout the day, he showed us his resilient spirit—he stopped vomiting, enjoyed some special tummy-friendly food, and became more comfortable and hydrated. 🐶🥣

By this evening, Leo was brighter, happier, and ready to continue his recovery at home with his family. We're so proud of this brave boy and grateful we could be part of his care. 🧡

We'd love to give a warm welcome to our newest doctor, Dr. Snock.

Dr. Snock is a Philadelphia native who earned his undergraduate degree in Animal Biotechnology and Conservation from Delaware Valley University before obtaining his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from Kansas State University in 2015. His veterinary career includes four years in general practice and seven years in emergency medicine, providing him with extensive experience in both routine and critical patient care.

Dr. Snock's professional interests include urgent care, emergency medicine, and surgery. He is passionate about delivering high-quality care to pets and supporting their families during unexpected medical situations.

Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Snock enjoys hiking, swimming, and spending time with his family. His household is shared with three dogs and four cats, reflecting his lifelong dedication to animals both professionally and personally.

We all know this job isn't all puppies and kittens, but when we get to care for them and help them back to their best selves, it definitely makes our day! 🧡

🐾Meet Duke!🐾

This handsome pup came to see us for lameness in his front leg. After a thorough examination, some radiographs, and LOTS of love from our team he was diagnosed with a left shoulder strain.

We sent Duke home with pain medication, a personalized treatment plan and instructions for some well-deserved rest! With a little time to heal he’ll be back to his playful self in no time!

It's the best part of our job to be here when you need us most🐾🧡

Hot pavement is one of summer's sneakiest hazards for dogs, and it can cause burns faster than most people expect. 🐾☀️

A quick rule of thumb: if you can't hold the back of your hand to the pavement for 5 seconds, it's too hot for your pup's paws. Early morning and evening walks are your best friends this season.
