South Jersey's oldest and largest animal shelter, low-cost pet clinic and much, much more! NOTE: Our Clinic and Adoption Center have different hours.

AWA was founded in 1948 by a small group of community activists who wanted to address and help the issue of unwanted pets in our community. In our adoption program, we have dogs and puppies, cats and kittens, rabbits, guinea pigs and other small animals. We also have a pet clinic that allows us to further our mission to provide affordable, high-quality healthcare to pets in our community. You can bring your pet in for routine exams, vaccines, spaying/neutering and more. For more information, please visit https://www.awanj.org/pet-clinic/
