You're all doing an amazing job of helping us grow! We've reached 682 followers and are still going strong. As we approach the 1,000 mark, we're looking forward to sharing a special surprise with you all!
Also we wanted you all to be aware that our spaces are very limited the next couple weeks because you guys are so great! So if your pet needs a little touch up, I would message soon!

It is finally raffle time guys!!!! All you have to do is comment your best photo of your pet in order to be entered in the drawing for a free nail trim or any of the other services we provide 💅🏼🐶😺
Like last time, you have to have had at least 1 appointment with us in the past that was successful. The nail trim (or whichever service you pick) is for 1 pet only. The winner will be announced on June 30th at 6pm!

🚨 HEAT ALERT ☀️ The heat index this week is expected to reach 100°, which is extremely dangerous to pets. Dogs are still dying in hot cars in our community. Just this month, WakeGov Pets: Wake County Animal Center has had at least 3 cruelty cases of dogs left in hot cars. This IS still happening in our community, and we are urging pet owners to take measures to protect their pets during this heat wave.

Heat stroke, dehydration, burns, and other health concerns are all serious risks to pets in these hot temperatures. Please help share this information and keep an eye out for any concerning situations.

🚨 IF YOU SEE A DOG IN A HOT CAR:
- If alert and responsive: Write down a description of the pet, the car, and the license plate, and notify nearby businesses to page the pet’s guardian to return to the car. If no one responds within 5 minutes, contact Animal Control immediately.
- If unresponsive or in distress: Call 911 immediately, and stay nearby in case police need help locating the vehicle. First responders and Animal Services will be dispatched to assist.

🚨 PROTECT YOUR OWN PETS:
- Know the signs of heat exhaustion and what to do if it happens.
- Leave them at home where it's safe in the A/C.
- Never leave your pet in a car unattended — not even for a minute.
- Adjust your walking routine with short, slow walks during cooler parts of the day
- Avoid hot pavement that can burn paw pads.
- Don’t shave your dog’s coat. A dog’s fur acts as a natural temperature regulator, helping to keep them cool and protecting them from sunburn.

🐾💔 We’re Really in Need Right Now 💔🐾

Lately, we’ve been really feeling the pinch. Donations have slowed WAY down and even our most urgent needs like food and cleaning supplies aren’t being fulfilled. We’ve had to prioritize the bare minimum, and even that’s not being met.

We run 100% on donations. No grants, no state or government help… just the kindness of this community.

Bodhi’s monthly flea prevention, bleach for the laundry that’s running 12 hours a day, stainless steel litter boxes for our isolation rooms, the list literally never ends. Every item directly supports the animals in our care. Healthy, happy animals depend on these supplies.

If you’re able to send even one thing or share our list, it helps more than you know. 💛

✨📢 Giveaway Announcement 📢✨

Hey everyone!!! So do you guys remember the giveaway we did back in April??? Well we are back at it! We had such a great turn out with the last one that we want to keep this going for you guys 💟
Like last time, there are a few rules. The giveaway is for 1 nail trim (or 1 other service we provide). Not for everyone in the house 😂 Also, if you live outside of the Virginia Beach area you will still have to pay the small mobile fee. And lastly, if we have not had a previous appointment with you (or a successful one) you DO NOT qualify.
We plan on starting the giveaway on June 22nd and picking the winner on June 30th. That way you all have plenty of time to enter! So keep a look out for the post!
With all of that being said. Now is the time to schedule with us if you want to be able to enter the giveaway! We are very flexible and have a lot of availability the next few weeks!

Here are some pictures of our clients from the past month and a half. Did you know we also pet sit? We can do 2 or 3 drop ins daily, feed your pet, let them out for potty breaks, etc. We just, unfortunately, can not spend the night due to our own pets needs.
