✨PAWS spotlight post✨ Now introducing: Miss Abby!🌸😊 I HAVE AN APPLICATION IN ON ME!!😊😊
Abby is our 8 month old Mastiff/ Black Lab mix, she weighs 58.6 lbs but has always been the runt of her litter, so smaller than your typical Mastiff. She is fully vetted and her adoption fee is set at $395 as she is a VERY healthy and young, active dog. Abby was surrendered with her brothers at no fault of her own, we just need to find the perfect family with lots of energy and love to give! Abby is outgoing and silly she has a very fun personality and does amazing around kids. She is friendly with other dogs big or small, and she has done well around cats. Abby is young but she is very intelligent, she is house trained as well as car and kennel/ crate trained. She walks on the leash well and even has a few tricks up her sleeve! Abby has a huge heart and loves to be right by your side, she gives the best hugs and would LOVE to show you how affectionate she is. Abby is such a sweet, beautiful girl and has lots of growing and learning to do, but she would love to be able to do those things with her own family. PAWS would like to wish everyone a very happy thanksgiving!! We are so thankful for all of our community members who have made this year a successful year for PAWS; we couldn’t have done it without all of you. Every penny, blanket, bed, bag of food, or even just stopping in to see our facility and say hello does more for our rescue than you know. If anyone is feeling generous as it is the season of giving and being thankful, PAWS has set up a venmo for any donations that would like to be made for food, blankets, toys, etc. We will link it here and on our main profile as well; this is only an online option, we do greatly appreciate everyone coming in and giving personal donations JUST as much as we appreciate online donations. PAWS SPOTLIGHT POST‼️✨ We would love to introduce everyone in our wonderful community to Null, our resilient girl who not only was raised in our shelter, but also brought back at no fault of her own almost 9 months ago💔. Null’s story began with PAWS when she was found in a cornfield and believed to be a coyote pup! After DNA testing it was determined she was not a coyote, but mostly German Shepherd/ Belgian Mallinois ; she is now 2 and a half years old FULLY VETTED. Null is the best dog anyone could ask for, despite how she has previously been treated. She is house, kennel, car, leash, and crate trained; she also has an amazing recall and is off leash whenever possible. She is friendly with other dogs big or small, she has been tested with very many different breeds and loves to have a buddy; she also does very well with children. Null is very gentle and compassionate, she stays down and knows how to play gently. Null’s previous owner stated that she is not super cat friendly, but with supervision ONLY it is believed she could handle herself responsibly. Null is EXTREMELY active, she loves to play fetch and go for runs or walks daily. She has a very strong desire to burn energy so she needs a very busy, adventurous, working, athletic, or active family/ companion. Null is an incredible swimmer, any chance she gets she will be jumping in the water, her favorite thing in the world is retrieving a ball from the lake. She is such a passionate and caring dog, Null would do absolutely ANYTHING for those that she loves. She takes great pride in assuring those around her are safe, and she is so much fun once she has been given a chance to be herself. Rescue animals aren’t broken, they’ve simply experienced more life than other animals. If they were human, we would call them wise; they would be the ones with tales to tell and stories to write. The ones dealt a bad hand who responded with courage. Null deserves the absolute world and has so much love to offer when given the chance. She deserves a warm home for the holidays, and we are hopeful that our villagers will help us find that special someone for our beautiful girl. PAWS would like to take a moment to say a special thank you to our transfer partners Humane Society of Boulder Valley for taking in these 3 handsome boys that we were unfortunately unable to find homes in our small town. They graciously agreed to take these boys in so we could continue bringing new faces in, and in only ONE week ALL 3 of those sweet boys found their loving families. We cannot express how important it is that all of us rescues stick together, and we cannot thank Boulder enough for helping us continue our mission. Just look at how beautiful their facility is! Thank you for taking the time to watch and show the love to not only PAWS, but to Humane Society of Boulder Valley as well💓🐶

Another wonderful success story for PAWS!! 😊😊 We are so happy we were able to find this sweet silly boy a new forever family! Thank you for everyone’s help sharing and showing the love, we appreciate ALL the help from our community in finding these sweet babies loving homes. Just look at how happy this boy was to get to go home💙, keep sharing and tagging us so we can keep helping all the lovely fur babies who need support🫶🏻.

This little man was out taking a stroll got a little too close to 144 so some neighbors brought him in. He’s at the shelter, safe and sound.

What a bittersweet month October has been for PAWS; This month we broke our personal record of hitting double digits for adoptions!🥳 We cannot thank everyone enough that not only came and rescued, but those who shared the posts to make it possible for these families to unite! Each and every one of our rescue pups not only found their perfect match, but they found them before Thanksgiving and we are SOOO over the moon that these sweethearts get to enjoy their holiday season warm and with their families❤️‍🩹. As the cold approaches it sometimes becomes more difficult to fit all the fur babies who need help, but with the help of our community and our wonderful staff, we have been able to expand greatly and help twice as many dogs as we could last year. You can’t buy love, but you sure can rescue it and these are only SOME of the families who have saved not only the life they took home, but the life who gets to take their place as well🫶🏻. From the bottom of our furry and human hearts, THANK YOU. Please take a moment to look at and share how adorable these families are and how HAPPY they made these sweet pups. Last Tuesday the PAWS team had the privilege of meeting Jennifer, Brenda, and Kayla from Golden Belt Bank in Fort Morgan, CO; they very generously took time out of their busy schedules to come meet all the friendly furry faces at our shelter!🐶 These lovely ladies also presented a VERY GENEROUS donation for their ‘casual friday for a cause’ and we cannot thank them enough for choosing our rescue! Every penny donated makes a difference in these sweet babies lives and we appreciate EVERYTHING donated to us! You can’t save everyone, but these ladies made it possible for us to help EVEN MORE than who we are helping now! From the bottom of our hearts here at PAWSecond Chance Rescue, THANK YOU!!💗🐶 Our mission is to rescue, but our dream is that one day we won’t have to🐾

PAWS rescue team would like to take a moment to say Happy Howl-O-Ween in honor of it being October 🎃🖤. Today our rescue pups got to dress up and do some ‘tricks for treats’! Everyone was so excited to be able to pick out a costume and get their picture taken🐶. With this being said we would absolutely LOVE if our fellow dog lovers would help us share some spooky love and get these babies their forever families!
