FORGIVE ME, MOMMY 😢🐾…
I was there where you left me for two whole days. Sleeping right on the side of the road. I was terrified of the noise from the cars but I did not move.
Last night one of those cars stopped and she got out. She invited me to lunch but I said no. She invited me to come sleep at her house and I also said no. I tried to explain to her that I was waiting for you but she wouldn’t listen. She pulled out a leash and said I couldn’t stay there any longer. I bit her several times and ended up peeing on myself as I growled and cried! She didn’t understand that she was separating me from you! She took me against my will and we drove off! I was so sad because I knew you were going to be worried. We ended up at her house.
I kept screaming hoping you would hear me but you never came. I vomited because of my nerves, feeling so sick. I kept telling her I had to go back because you were going to think I abandoned you when you saw I wasn’t there! I, who love you with all my heart and soul have not stopped crying since we separated a few days ago. I want you to know, I would never do that to you.
I don’t know where you are now or why you stopped the car and left me there. Surely you had something very important to do. Can you come find me now, mommy?
Today I ate because my tummy was hurting. I also slept on a very soft bed. And by accident I also wiggled my tail a bit. I’m so sorry, please forgive me. She’s just being really nice to me. She said I could stay forever. She’s calling me Milo but I already have a name. When you pick me up you can tell it to her. You’ll see how surprised she’ll be when you explain to her that this was a big mistake.
Because mommy, you’re coming back for me, right 😢🐾?

Cannibis culture is all around us. What's more important is it is around your pets too!
Did you know that most of the pet behavior consults we have for unexplained aggression is linked back to ma*****na? People don't seem to realize that smoking or va**ng around pets also has effects on the animals. Some people even actively blow smoke at their pet thinking it will chill them out for vet visits or storms (spoiler alert- it doesn't, the pet is still anxious and now also unpredictable).
THC is the psychoactive portion of ma*****na that causes a high sensation. THC is toxic to pets and causes aggression, disorientation, incontinence and neurologic symptoms that can include seizures.
CBD products are not regulated or controlled by any agency as they are considered "supplements", so claims to be "THC Free" are empty claims. A CBD product that is labeled as "THC Free" just means that the product is less than 0.3% THC concentration, not that there is absolutely zero THC. Trust us, we would love to have FDA approval and safety studies to utilize this type of drug to its full potential! But until that happens, legally a veterinarian cannot tell you it is safe to use or recommend it.
Canabinoids can interact with other medications that your doctor may prescribe, so complete transparency is needed between you and your veterinarian. Do we care if you smoke? No. Not even the least bit. In the long list of things to do everyday, tattling on someone for pot is not even penciled in our schedule. Do we care if you give your dog edibles? Absolutely.
We hope you have a greaaaat monday man, just enjoy somewhere away from animals.

With warm summer weather comes our yearly advice to limit outdoor time for some pets. While some dogs love to lay in the sun or go for car rides, it may not be safe for very long before heat stress or heat stroke sets in.

Restrict time outdoors to under 10 minute potty breaks if your pet falls under any of these categories:
🌞Brachycephalic breeds (Persian cats, Boston terriers, Bulldog breeds)
🌞Cardiac disease pets
🌞Respiratory disease pets
🌞Diabetics
🌞Geriatric pets
🌞Obese pets

As always, if your pet needs immediate assistance, please call your local emergency or urgent care vet clinic en route to let them know you are coming in with an emergency.
