*Courtsey post *Missing around savannah luggage area. Old female poodle. Blind and almost deaf. If found please call Vidalia Animal control for owner information. This girl is old. 16-17 years old and has been missing several days now. Has 2 rabies tags 2025 and 2026 (no vet info on the tags) and some rings on her collar,her collar is black. Blue tag may not be on her collar any longer.

PSA!! Please for the love of all things holy! DO NOT leave/drop off/tie up dogs or puppies at our gate. Sometime today someone left us a gift of 2 tiny little 6 week old pit pups absolutely covered in fleas and skinny. If someone had not seen them momentarily and called we would have never known they were down there. We are not a dumping ground for your unwanted puppies. Have your female spayed so this wont be a issue for you (Contact Sweet Onion Animal Protection Society - SOAPS through their page to get a low cost voucher) For one we are full and have no where to house these little ones so now their in our temporary/emergency kennel that we hold open for emergencys or bite cases. For two its hot ,they were small and hiding in the woods beside the gate in shade when I went to look for them. If no one had seen them they would have been hit by a car or over heated since there was no water source where they were left. This makes me so upset because we are struggling on the daily to house stray dogs with a full kennel and 50+ calls aday about found/abandoned pups/dogs not to mention the other 50+ calls from surrounding county's wanting us to take animals from them.

PSA🗣 if you KNOW your dog is reactive or scared of fireworks PLEASE crate them indoors starting tonight and only allow them out to potty or while supervised on a leash! The shelter is FULL we do not have available kennels to pick up and keep your pet safe in the event they run off over the weekend. Due to being down one employee to medical leave this weekend will also be a short weekend so we will only be at the shelter to clean and feed starting tomorrow,friday - sunday. So please please please go ahead and prepare your pet for the fireworks. Every year we end up with 4-8 dogs from firework scare.
