Alas, all of the ROY-G-BIV (with the not forgotten sweet Violet who passed early on) / BBQ babies are 9 weeks and moving into their new chapter as they one by one get adopted! They are the sweeeeeetest litter I have had the honor of hand raising in a very long time! They reminded me of my passion, my abilities, my dedication & drive. They threw some rainbow magic onto the flame that keeps me going with humanitarian efforts. After weeks on end and others to care for as well, even with loss, barely any sleep, every single time it was time to feed them or clean them or snuggle them, it was so wonderful! It’s very easy in those moments to just go through the motions on autopilot. I was so present for every single moment of this litter‘s life and refused to go into auto pilot mode. I’m very glad that I got this experience with them as they needed it so much and so did I. It really shows true intentions and true character of somebody when they do something so selflessly and it’s really cool that my partner and of course, children, Neighbors and Friends have been able to see for the first time for some, or revisit for others, this version of Amanda and see who I am when nobody is really watching. That’s the best version of me and I’m really grateful for these puppies for dusting off & gifting me back one of my favorite slivers of me! Rescue is so rewarding & fostering is more fulfilling than words can properly do it justice!

Hurray for another success story x6! I can’t wait to see who I have the opportunity to help next!

The babies are back!! This is just a wee glimpse of their slumber party with Tony, Daniel and both of their little boys! I will share much more soon, but I had a full weekend filled of wedding magic! My son has most of you know, Beast, got married, and it was a whirlwind weekend of Mom duty and Grandma duty for me!  I truly cannot think this family enough for always being such a solid, trustworthy foster family for us!  their respite care over the weekend made a massive positive difference on how the entire weekend went overall!
