Most handsome beef nugget! Jax had surgery on his spleen to remove a tumor. The biopsy isn’t back but hopefully it isn’t cancer. I have the honor of being his nurse for the last couple days and a few more to go!!

Previously, he was doing totally, nothing out of the usual. Last week he sneaky snacked a large plate of human food off the counter. The next day, he was really sluggish, lethargic, not acting normal, did not want to eat. That is very unlike him so his family took him in and he went straight into emergency surgery after that. Timing on these sort of things is never ideal. It seems. His family needed to be out of town the following day & this hunk is not a dog that can go just anywhere to board/daycare or have just anyone handling him, let alone after such a big surgery. He can be “spicy” 🌶️ but luckily I have no fear 😅! But the lesson in this is if you ever have that gut feeling or intuition, fear, etc that something is not quite right with your pet, always air on the side of caution and have them seen by a professional right away! What could have just been an over stuffed stomach, trying to process really turned out to be something much more serious and potentially life life-threatening.

Welcome Foo Foo to the Panda Paws Rescue party!! She is named in adoration after Miss Pofgy’s pup. This sweetheart was abandoned in the hills in California and we patently have been waiting for her stray hold to be completed all while looking for her owners and posting everywhere appropriate in the local vicinity/counties. Sadly nobody came forward. Foo Foo is a very young (guessing 1 years old) Maltese mix. She’s a tiny girl but full of happy-go-lucky & snuggles! This sugar lump is great with kids (well behaved ones only - no monster kids for this wee bit), cats, chickens and fine with dogs. She loves adventure and walks (plus she’san angel in leash) & then equally loves her cuddle couch times. She loves when you play an instrument, so musicians please apply!

She has a vet appointment to get her shots and to check out her minor cough on Thursday. Once she is cleared we will get her scheduled for her spay. Her potty training and crate training are both going well. She is extremely easy to train honestly… a little dream boat!

Foo Foo is currently located in California. We will accept applications from all states, but if you are applying from out of state, you must prepare to fly or drive to San Francisco International Airport to meet her and potentially adopt her. If you are applying in Washington or Oregon, some of this may be accommodated in other ways.  applications can be found at www.pandapawsrescue.org!

Last but certainly not least, let’s send a major thank you to her temporary foster parents that found her wandering by herself, have held onto her during her stray hold, and have given me so much insight on how perfect this little p**f muffin is! Thank you Saya & AllyRose!

Very soon I’ll be sharing an equally cute Maltese mix that’s ready to start accepting applications!! Get ready, she’s going to melt your hearts!

Lambchop pupdate!! We found our voice! She’s doing awesome! 14.3oz today. She’s getting super mobile and ready to take on the world.

I have another Panda Paws Rescue kiddo to share soon that is so close to being ready for adoption & a post-op kitty kiddo in my care. 💛🧡❤️🩷

Staying busy working in this desert dry heat of Medford, OR! For those who could not figure out where work from (not so far away) is… I’m just in southern Oregon. But it looks like I’m in paradise! I am loving the Jimmy Buffett hotel, and still very confused on how it ended up in this location specifically. Anyhow, the dogs are doing great! Cowboy, per usual, is making the most of it and having the time of his life! And……… He clearly takes after me! 🦐🤠🐾🦐

Little Lambchop is soaring through her first week with ease! She’s officially 5.5 ounces & looking more like her namesake every day! Her black pigment on her cute button nose, and around her eyes is starting to show as well!
