Humane Society for Southwest Washington is getting ready for their annual Walk/Run fundraiser! 🏃🏼‍♀️ 🐕 Check out their website for ways to participate by creating a team or making a donation. As many of you know our amazing Dr. Patete has been away on leave taking care of a sick family member. Unfortunately, she will not be returning to Mountain View 😔. She will be back for the month of May to help transition her patients and catch up the other DVMs on her cases. Please see this letter that she wrote for our clients. 💜

We are so sorry to see her leave after so many years of amazing work and compassion she has shown our community. We know that she is stepping away to support her family and we fully support her in this decision. Please be kind with staff during this transition and help us in wishing her the best. 💞

We are hosting an open house for clients and veterinary professionals to see and learn about our Rehabilitation Center 🐾💪! Come by the clinic on May 17th to meet the rehab team and see where the magic happens. ✨

We will be doing an underwater treadmill demo around 1:30pm 🐕. As well as showing the other equipment we use to help your pets thrive! Come by for a behind the scenes look and to talk to the team directly about any cases, examples, or questions. 😄

Heartworm was once thought to only be in the southern states is now being diagnosed nationwide. Including several cases here in Vancouver! 🤯 Prevention is easy but treatment is not!

April is National Pet First Aid Awareness Month! 🚑

Pet injuries are incredibly unpredictable. 🤕 The best thing we can do is be prepared in case an emergency pops up! We recommend always researching where the local pet ERs are located whenever you travel.🐾 This way you know where to go in case of an emergency.

We also recommend keeping a basic pet first aid kit in your home, vehicle, or on your person. This way you can help stabilize your pet while you create a plan to get your pet evaluated by a vet. Ask your vet what items to include in your pet's first aid kit. 😄
