This is Sylvie and Gwen, they belong to our assistant Kim! Fun fact- they are both named after characters from Marvel. Sylvie for the female variant of Loki and Gwen is short for Gwen Stacy from Spiderman.

Halloween is just around the corner!

Just last night I dressed my dog in three different costumes... I still can't decide which one is the winner... 🤣

As fun as costumes and treats can be, Halloween can also be scary for our pets. There are lots of different sounds, costumes, and people coming to our door all night. Please be proactive in keeping your pets safe.

If needed, anxiety medications can help. Ensure they have a safe, secure place away from the front door and clear up to date ID tags/microchips should they manage to escape.

Some general tricks and treats are listed below to help make sure the whole family has a Happy Halloween!

As Veterinary Technician Week wraps up, we just have to give one more HUGE thank you to our five amazing technicians that are part of our team- Annette, Theresa, Alisa, Jessie and Mikayla!

Our doctors are fortunate to have their incredible skills and input on a daily basis and our support staff is made all the stronger for their teaching and guidance!

These ladies put in hard work on the daily, and although Technician Week is just one week in October, they are deeply appreciated all year!

Finishing Technician Week strong with Mikayla!

Mikayla is our training lead. She has done an amazing job formulating a training program specific to each role within our clinic. She has a passion for teaching others and helping them grow. Her other special interest is animal behavior, and she is known for building relationships with patients.

Veterinary Technician Week is going strong!

Today we introduce Jessie!

Jessie is our newest technician, having joined us just this Summer. She has been a great addition to our team, working primarily with our surgery teams and is incredibly dedicated to ensuring all her work is complete at the end of the day. Her calm and gentle nature is appreciated by patients and teammates alike!

Continuing our Veterinary Technician Week celebration with Alisa!

Alisa is our lead technician and works hard on and off the floor to ensure all patients and team members are well cared for. She is also our wellness coordinator and helps to organize fun team events. She earned her technician license while working as an assistant at Mountain View, while also navigating the pandemic and it’s effects on her classes! Her passion is commendable.

Today we continue our Veterinary Technician Week celebration by highlighting Theresa!

Theresa recently returned to full time at Mountain View. Like Annette, she has also worn many hats around the clinic and has earned the moniker “clinic mom.” Most days you will find her working alongside our surgery team or jumping in wherever her help is needed. Theresa has a special interest in helping vulnerable pets in need, she and her family have fostered many medically fragile cats and dogs in need. She is our kitten raising specialist!

This week is National Veterinary Technician Week!

Our technicians do so much to ensure every patient is well cared for, from administering vaccines and filling medications to running anesthesia and assisting in surgical procedures.

Each day this week we’ll be highlighting one of our amazing technicians, starting with Annette!

Annette is a staple here at Mountain View, she has been here for over 20 years! There isn’t a task within these walls that she doesn’t know how to get done. She has been instrumental in teaching and mentoring many of our staff members throughout the years. She has done everything from kennel assistant to inventory management. Currently, Annette has found her passion working with our physical rehab team.

Hi guys. Eddie here. My pawrents decided to do something silly. You see, I am such a great and perfect dog (maybe this is partially my fault?) I made them fall in love with Newfies.

They "got me" a brother. I haven't really made up my mind on him yet, but I guess he isn't the worst. At least for now he's still smaller than me!

Introducing Dock, I guess he's staying!
