June is National Pet Microchip Month!

We’re reminding pet parents how important microchips can be in helping lost pets get back home. Here at Mountain View, we’ve been able to successfully reconnect pets with their families several times by simply scanning for a microchip. 🐾

Collars and tags can fall off, but a microchip provides permanent identification that can make all the difference in a stressful situation. If your pet is already microchipped, don’t forget to check that your contact information is up to date! ❤️

Eddie’s first beach day = pure fun! 🌊🐾

From zoomies in the sand to splashing in the waves and inspecting every seashell, this pup lived his best life.

If you’re bringing your dog to the beach, keep these tips in mind:

• Bring fresh water — ocean water can make dogs sick
• Watch the waves — currents can be strong
• Check sand temperature — it heats up quickly
• Look out for sharp shells or debris
• Rinse off after — salt can irritate skin
• Take shade breaks — pups can overheat fast (especially dogs with dark coats)

Eddie gives the beach a 10/10 🐶💙

🌸 Spring cleaning reminder: as you tackle closets, wipe down windows, and chase tumbleweeds of pet fur across the floor, don’t forget to give your pet’s food & water bowls a good scrub too! 🐾

Regular washing helps remove bacteria, mold, and slimy buildup that can lead to upset stomachs, acne around the mouth, bad breath, and other health issues for pets. Clean bowls help keep food fresh, water safer to drink, and your furry friend feeling their best. ✨

Fresh bowls. Fresh water. Fresh start for spring. 🌷🐶🐱

May is Mental Health Awareness Month! Taking care of your pet starts with taking care of yourself. 🐾💙

At Mountain View, we know that the bond you share with your animal is deeply meaningful—and with that love can sometimes come stress, anxiety, or emotional fatigue. Whether you're managing a new diagnosis, caring for an aging pet, or making difficult decisions, your mental well-being matters.

Here are a few gentle reminders:
• It’s okay to feel overwhelmed—you're not alone in this
• Take breaks when you need them; caregiving is a marathon, not a sprint
• Reach out for support—from friends, family, or professionals
• Celebrate the small wins and joyful moments with your pet

We’re here for both you and your furry family members—every step of the way. If you ever need guidance, reassurance, or just someone to talk to, don’t hesitate to reach out.

Be kind to yourself today. 🐶🐱

🐾 May is Pet Arthritis Awareness Month 🐾

Did you know that arthritis is one of the most common conditions affecting pets, especially as they age? Signs like stiffness, limping, difficulty getting up, or hesitation to jump and play can all point to joint discomfort.

The good news: there are many ways to help manage arthritis and keep your pet comfortable.

Treatment options can include weight management, medications, joint supplements, lifestyle adjustments at home, and supportive therapies like pet rehabilitation. Rehab can be a helpful part of a comprehensive plan, using techniques such as targeted exercises and other therapies to improve mobility and reduce pain.

Every pet is different, which is why a personalized approach matters. If you’re noticing changes in your pet’s movement or behavior, we’re here to help guide you through the options.

Let’s work together to keep your pets moving comfortably and enjoying life. 🐶🐱💙

Warm weather is here, and it’s the perfect time to enjoy the sunshine with your pets—but it’s important to keep their safety in mind ☀️🐾

Here are a few quick tips to help keep your furry friends happy and healthy:
• Always provide plenty of fresh water
• Avoid walking on hot pavement (if it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their paws)
• Never leave pets in a parked car
• Make sure they have access to shade when outdoors
• Watch for signs of overheating like excessive panting or lethargy

A little extra care goes a long way in keeping your pets safe during the warmer months. Stay cool and enjoy the season together! ❤️
