Our goal when taking over Paw Paws back in 2020 was to bring our customers top quality care; not only for you, but for our four legged friends. Recently we’ve experienced several situations with new and established clients who do not attend regularly ending up upset with us over a variety of reasons. Today we hope this post finds you well and provides a clear picture to help still pave the pathway to quality care and service.
We want to continue to provide care to each and every one of your sweet furry friends, however situations like this leave us stumped and unsure which direction to move. First and foremost, we are humans also trying to survive this crazy world we live in. We do not work the normal 9 to 5, our days are long, exhausting, and rewarding all in one mix.
We have set MANY boundaries over the years and while doing so doesn’t always feel nice, they are truly necessary!! We’ve experienced many situations privately over the past few years since implementing a policy and standards procedure- some situations more unsettling than others. Policies help us move forward in the right direction not only for us, but for our clients too!! We ask that you please take a moment to read the entire post.

💗 HOURS + CLOSURES (PICK UP + DROP OFF) 💗
We operate Sunday through Friday!! 100% CLOSED on Saturdays. With that, we do NOT offer pick up or drop offs, asking repeatedly does not mean we will say yes. You will get a No, we are not open. This is NOT a new operating schedule, this was established back in 2021.
We hope you understand that this is the ONLY time we truly get a break and a chance to spend with our families. We are not truly off because we are still caring for dogs!! We cannot provide you quality service being extremely exhausted. Saturdays are our days to recharge.
Weekdays we are CLOSED 11AM - 1PM (calls/emails/texts will be responded to prior to or once we reopen in the afternoon)
This is a big one ✨ PLEASE DO NOT SHOW UP AT OUR HOME AT 10:00 PM OR 6:00 AM ✨
This one happens too often, yes Paw Paws is located on our property; however this does not mean drive out here at 10:00 PM to bang on our doors. We will ask you to leave! We have been too nice in the past when this has happened, but we will no longer allow this.
Another super important topic - ✨APPOINTMENT TIMES✨
We have had quite a few unpleasant experiences with new and established clients treating us unkind when asked to come during their scheduled appointment times. We have also had quite a few experiences with new and established clients getting upset with us when we move their ‼️NO show‼️ appointments to a later time.
It is so important that you write down, read the emails, text confirmations, and remind yourself of your drop off and pick up times. We can truly only do so much, please help meet us in the middle. We send reminders, we even call, message, AND email when you’ve missed your appointment.
APPOINTMENT TIMES - ALL AVAILABLE APPOINTMENTS TIMES ARE IN GINGR!!! SUNDAYS ARE THE ONLY DAY WE OFFER 8 - 6 PM PICK UP.
✨MONDAY through FRIDAY - You MUST drop off or Pick up at YOUR appointment time. No earlier and no later than.✨
‼️MORNING TIMES ‼️ are from 8:00AM TO 9:00AM - NO earlier and NO later than
‼️ AFTERNOON TIMES ‼️ are from 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM. Pick Ups are NO earlier than 4:00 PM. We will ask you to come back at your scheduled time!!
‼️ AFTERNOON PICK-UP FEES ‼️
We have always charged an afternoon fee, for a multitude of reasons. Afternoon checkout prevents other clients from booking other reservations for that night. This fee is AUTOMATICALLY added to your invoice when you select an afternoon time or you check out in the afternoons.
This is NOT a hidden fee - we will now add a check box before you submit your requests that you’ve read and understand this is charged for afternoon pick up.
