Memorial Day we can choose to be remember our great grandparents who lay to rest in Belgium and beyond...and those who have given the ultimate sacrifice more recently in conflict servign in our United States Military.

Thank you dad for being willing to work with explosive storage and transport...your clarity while serving identified aberrations and likely saved lives and limbs for your fellow U.S. Air Force soldiers.

for us deer lovers...who find it magical each time they aloft over a barbed cattle wire...peak out of the woods to cross...lift each dainty cloven hoof to take an aware silent step: ears swiveling

The lead doe decides who, where and when steps into the open...she has close companions she prefers at her side...

And as deer lovers know, hunters and those who eschew hunting, their white tails are not flags of surrender, instead they commit to their families freedom and life...

The does assigned to enter clearings first are the sacrificial lambs, the front line soldiers...it's known they face great threat. Whether from raised platform by us humans or a canine pack....(do our small beautiful coyote packs attempt? I picture larger wolves but)...

It always takes courageous souls to take the heart thudding actions that allow babes to slumber safely in their thickets or bassinet...

This Memorial Day we remember those soldiers who gave their lives to serve as a United States military member: like my paternal great grandfather whose remains are in Belgium. His son very much hoped to visit his grave and while worked in France entertained the idea of sending me there.

Heartworm prevention: SImparica Flea Tick has heartworm medication in it...so no need to pay and dose separately. For those giving natural prevention (some give certain essential oils and of course there is primary prevention) I'd imagine avoiding standing water can help...however not sure how far mosquitoes fly and we are the land of creeks and heavy rain...tis the mosquitoe season. I've found the Borax + tubes (black /yellow box) at Farmers CoOperative Van Buren helpful: instructions require warm water, shade and specific distance from people. Food for thought: they cannot be shipped to certain states due to ingredients (of course there are animals like bats that eat mosquitoes). Yes they can dry up and need to be kept to fill line but we've plent of rain here: I attach high up to a tree mid spring and takes multiple here in our clearing on 10 private acres...

Heartworm disease starts with a single mosquito bite, but what happens next can be anything but simple.

Prevention is easy to stay on top of. Treatment? Not so much. It can be more complex, more expensive, and requires ongoing veterinary care. 🏥

Helping clients understand that difference can make all the impact when it comes to keeping pets protected year-round. 🌳

View from newly renovated Mount Sequioa Fayetteville AR likely 1.5 hrs or less from much of Van Buren AR/Fort Smith AR.

The cross is from the 1920s/30's per this video.

Also trails/campus and Ameri Corp removed many invasive non natives and planted over 100 native plants and painted three murals and painted four public buildings learned via another video.

Otto pleads with Phil to take him home after seven months in a shelter, adopted for two weeks and brought back as 'too attached/follows everywhere'...the tail indicates a spitz breed likely, spitz are said to be one person animals like huskies are said to be, somewhat aloof otherwise, however a friend shares their husky loves all of t heir children and their parents/affectionate with all...being home schooled they likely give even more love that additional 5.5 hrs a day plus commute: 32 hours-ish that most of us were away from our homes and pets as children in public education...while most of us had parents both earning to provide...for housing which increases due to the safety effects of requiring permitting and electricians with consistent exam credentials for example...to prevent fires and building collapses...in earlier years grandfathers often build homes with the help of family...homes were smaller...they didn't require a loan typically,, so no interest added up (accrued) making paying the loan more challenging..I"ve had a car loan or maybe two...I'd compare student loan % rate (between 9 and 10%) to car loans...

There are still some areas of the country, particularly unincorporated rural areas (outside cities) with limited requirements (all likely require solid waste: toilet flushes) to be treated with septic or other approved (incinerating toilets for example used on islands and in bosts..pricey, a few thousand and a bit slow: vent outside you can imagine: place near outside wall)...Natures Gate is a popular, pricey formal compost toilet...I believe they have a fan to dry. ...

Sometimes earning rather than simply works for someone....focus on high earnings early...perhaps invest in something profitable, whether a business or lower interest (no guarantee but for example 9% or less in a mutual fund of stocks and possibly gov't loans (aka bonds). I'm not a fan of gov't loans personally....though it's commonly how we support schools and fire depts. so I've voted for many times since the only proposal to support schools...
