We have tortie and calicos galore! 🐈🐈‍⬛

Come on down this Saturday to meet and maybe take home a kitten or two 🖤🧡

Fun fact! Torties and calicos are exclusively female. This is due to the orange gene sitting on the X chromosome and the black gene also sitting on the X chromosome. Hence XX=calico or tortie. The only way to have a male calico or tortie is to have a genetic mutation of XXY which occurs roughly 1 to every 3000 male cats or for an embryo to fuse together making a chimera.

Pretty cool if I do say so myself.

UPDATE: Naga is back home with his foster mom! 💜

UPDATE: REUNITED!! Naga is home safe & sound after 6 days, 7 hours :)

Happy International Black Cat Appreciation Day!

This day is dedicated to celebrating the unique black coated cats that unfortunately stay too long at shelters and rescue. Often overlooked we take today to shower them with appreciation and love. 🐾

These amazing cats are still looking for their forever home and would love a warm lap to exist with. Some of these cats have been with our rescue since last year. 🐈‍⬛

LOST FOSTER KITTY

Hello everyone, one of our foster kitties Naga escaped in the Vallejo area of Broadway St and Lewis Brown Dr.

He is neutered and chipped. He is a shy kitty and may not come to you. If anyone has any sitings of him in the area please let us know!

Sometimes what we set out to do becomes a whole different rescue mission. We come across so many kittens just like Ms Faith and Cosmo, and would love to have the resources to support our foster families.
