I’m terrible at remembering to take videos or photos during behavior cases—usually I’m too focused on the dog in front of me to even think about it. But today, I remembered.
This handsome guy has had a tough time when new people come to the house. He’s shown serious aggression toward visitors, recently got into a fight with the neighbor’s dog, lunges at cars on walks, and had a meltdown at the vet.
But here’s the thing: he’s also deeply loved by his family—and he loves them right back.
By the end of our appointment, he was approaching me for affection and treats. Is he “cured”? Absolutely not. But we have a plan—and the best part? It’s simple, sustainable, and not expensive. In fact, I expect the family will spend less time and energy managing his behavior going forward.
And the best part of the this case- I made a new friend.
