Meet Scrappy!
Our newest adoptable sweetheart at Valdosta Veterinary Associates!

Scrappy is a 6-month-old female German Shepherd mix with a heart full of love and a spirit that won’t quit. She came to us in late March after being hit by a car and left behind. Thanks to a Good Samaritan, she made it safely to VVA, where we performed a rear leg amputation to save her life.

Now, Scrappy is the cutest little 3-legged pup you’ll ever meet — and trust us, that missing leg doesn’t slow her down one bit! She’s sweet, a little timid at first, but with a loving family, she’s sure to blossom.

If you or someone you know is interested in giving Scrappy the forever home she deserves, please call us at (229) 834-8387 for an adoption application. Let’s find this special girl her happy ending!

Easter Pet Safety Tips! 🐰🐣

As you celebrate this joyful season, don’t forget to keep your furry family members safe and happy:

• Keep chocolate & candy out of reach – even small amounts can be toxic to pets.
• Watch out for Easter grass – curious pets may swallow it, leading to dangerous blockages.
• Lilies are beautiful but toxic – especially to cats. Opt for pet-safe blooms instead!
• Egg hunts? Make sure your pet doesn’t find the eggs before the kids do!

If your pet gets a little too curious and beats the kids to the basket or eggs, give us a call right away at (229) 834-8387.

Wishing you and your furry family a safe and joyful Happy Easter from all of us at Valdosta Veterinary Associates!

🎆 Fireworks Safety Tips for Your Pets 🐾

As we prepare to ring in the New Year with fireworks and celebrations, let’s not forget our furry friends! Loud noises and bright lights can be stressful for pets, but a little preparation can keep them safe and calm. Here are some tips:

🐶 Keep pets indoors: Create a quiet, secure space to help them feel safe.

🐾 Turn on calming sounds: Play soft music or white noise to mask the loud booms.

🐕‍🦺 Ensure ID tags are up to date: Just in case your pet gets spooked and runs away.

🦴 Provide distractions: Treats, toys, and puzzles can keep them occupied.

🚫 Avoid bringing pets to firework displays: The noise and crowds can be overwhelming.

Let’s make this celebration safe and stress-free for everyone—human and animal alike! 💖

If you find scared pets we are available to scan for microchips 24/7
