Looking for a fur ever home or a rescue! Please share.

Hi, my name is … well I don’t have one yet, that’s for you to decide 😉, but our staff call me ‘Otter’ for short, because well.. I’m sort of built like one 🦦🦦🦦

Let me just cut to the chase - I was found as a stray wandering in the south GA heat, so we aren’t sure of my past, but my foster mom says that’s okay, because we are going to determine my future. A Good Samaritan is now fostering me, but is seeking help in finding a place for me to call home.

Here’s a few guesstimated facts about me:
🦦I am estimated to be roughly 2 years old
🦦I am potty trained and know my routine like a pro
🦦I am very dog & people friendly and get along well with others.
🦦I am a spayed female, and up to date on vaccines.
🦦I am heartworm negative.
🦦My pictures are deceiving. I am a low rider. I have short little stumpy legs & a long body… hence the nickname ‘Otter’. 🥰
🦦I am roughly 33lbs

Final Call for Officer Hope 💙 🐾 What an honor to have met such a beautiful soul!! In the words of Chief Manahan “Every dog has a soul” and hers was the sweetest!

💙 Honoring Officer Hope 💙

Today we had the honor of saying goodbye to Officer Hope, a beloved member of the Valdosta Police Department who served her community faithfully for many years as their community therapy dog. Hope comforted officers and students on their hardest days, brought smiles to everyone she met, and was a favorite of all who knew her. Her legacy of love and compassion will live on. 🐾

She was escorted with full honors today, surrounded by the officers and friends who loved her so much. We are also deeply grateful to Chief Manahan, who presented our staff with coins in appreciation of the care and compassion they showed Hope.

To my VVA team — as your Practice Administrator, I could not be prouder of you. What you do is never easy, and days like today are the hardest of all. But time and again, I watch your hearts show in everything you do. You are the absolute best, and it is a privilege to support you. 💛
