Hello Everyone, I know you havenāt heard much from me lately. Thereās been a lot going on here at the rescue. Iāve had a lot of super senior dogs pass away from age or health related issues, and so my heart has been on the mend. Some I have only had for a few months to 2 yrs.
I havenāt had a lot of new dogs up for adoption as Iāve been focusing on taking in more of the super senior dogs or dogs that need more TLC so they can mend physically or mentally, whatever they need, which in return gives me the time to heal from the loss of my foster dogs. Even though I know some of the super senior or sick dogs I pull will only be with me a short time, once they pass it still takes a toll on my heart, the exact reason why I made my rescue a sanctuary also, just for these special cases.
There is an overwhelming amount of dogs being sent to shelters and I just canāt wrap my head around a super senior dog having their last days being at a loud, crowded, scary shelter, so thatās where my heart has been. Iāve also been taking in dogs that need more time, whether it be to heal mentally or physically. The shelters are so full they donāt have the space to give these furbabies a chance, so Iāve been trying to take in what I can, so they can have a full life with a loving family.
I will be posting more dogs for adoption soon, so keep a look out! I have some pretty fabulous foster dogs, I just need to cuddle them a little longer.
Wags and wet kisses
Shelley
