This little injured stray baby found his way to us. The left hindlimb was partially dead and had insect activity on it - likely from a trauma. We were able to use funds from Cuddles’ angel fund to perform his amputation. He is only 1lb and needs to recover, but he will be looking for a home soon. ❀️

Why Are Parasite and F***l Tests Important for Pets?

Parasites can affect pets of all ages, even those that appear healthy and show no signs of illness. Routine f***l testing helps detect intestinal parasites before they cause serious health problems.

Benefits of Regular F***l Testing:

🐾 Detects Hidden Parasites – Many pets infected with worms or other intestinal parasites show no obvious symptoms.

🐾 Protects Your Pet's Health – Parasites can cause diarrhea, vomiting, weight loss, poor coat quality, anemia, and other health concerns.

🐾 Protects Your Family – Some parasites, such as roundworms and hookworms, can be transmitted from pets to people, especially children.

🐾 Ensures Dewormers Are Working – F***l testing helps your veterinarian determine if treatment is needed and confirms that parasites have been eliminated.

🐾 Prevents Environmental Contamination – Early detection reduces the spread of parasite eggs and larvae in yards, parks, and other areas where pets spend time.

How Often Should Pets Be Tested?

Most veterinarians recommend f***l testing at least once yearly for adult pets and more frequently for puppies, kittens, pets that spend time outdoors, or pets with a history of parasites.

Remember: Even indoor pets can be exposed to parasites through contaminated soil, insects, rodents, or by tracking parasite eggs into the home.

Keeping up with routine f***l testing is a simple way to help your pet stay healthy and protect the people who love them. 🐢🐱❀️

May is National Allergy & Asthma Awareness Month! 🌼🐾

Just like people, pets can suffer from allergies and asthma too. Common signs in pets may include:

🐢 Excessive scratching or licking
🐱 Sneezing, coughing, or wheezing
🌿 Red or irritated skin
πŸ‘‚ Frequent ear infections
πŸ’¨ Difficulty breathing or exercise intolerance

Seasonal allergens like pollen, grass, dust, and mold can make this time of year especially tough for sensitive pets.

If your pet is showing signs of discomfort, our team is here to help with diagnosis, treatment options, and relief so they can breathe easier and feel their best! πŸ’™

Call us today to schedule an exam and keep your furry family members happy and healthy this spring! 🌷🐾
