We’re planning ahead because our team deserves to be celebrated in a BIG way! ❤️🐾

October 18th–24th is Veterinary Technician Week, and over the coming weeks we’ll be introducing you to the incredible faces behind our hospital.

These amazing women and men are the heart of what we do. They comfort scared pets, support worried families, celebrate the happy moments, and stand beside us through the hardest ones. Their compassion, dedication, and love for animals never go unnoticed, and we truly couldn’t do what we do without them.

As we prepare for Veterinary Technician Week, you may see our manager stopping by local small businesses to see if they’d like to help us make this week extra special. If you choose to support us, please know exactly who you’re supporting. Every donation, gift, treat, or kind gesture goes toward recognizing the hardworking team that gives so much of themselves to our patients and clients every single day.

Our hearts are with the entire team at Ward’s Animal Clinic as they mourn the unexpected passing of Dr. Hartsell.

The veterinary community is a close-knit family, united by a shared passion for caring for animals and the people who love them.
Today, we grieve alongside our fellow colleagues, their staff, clients, friends, and family. The loss of someone who dedicated their life to serving others and making a difference in the lives of countless pets and families is deeply felt throughout our profession.

With the 4th of July just around the corner, we want to remind you that if your pet needs calming or sedative medications to stay comfortable during fireworks, now is the time to give us a call!

To ensure we have enough time to process your request and prepare any necessary prescriptions, please contact us at least 24–48 hours in advance. Waiting until the last minute may mean we can’t guarantee same-day fulfillment.

Your pet’s comfort and safety are our top priorities, and we want everyone to enjoy a stress-free holiday!

We may have a whole team of amazing people… but let’s be honest — there’s only ONE Lyod. 😄

The one (and only!) guy at the front desk keeps things running smoothly while keeping all of us laughing. Whether he’s greeting clients, answering phones, or delivering his perfectly timed one-liners, Lyod makes every day at the clinic a little brighter.

And of course, we can’t forget his unofficial title… *“The Cat Man.”* 🐾 If there’s a cat involved, you can bet Lyod is already invested.

We’re lucky to have someone who brings this much personality, humor, and care to our front desk — our patients, clients, and team all love him (even the spicy cats… sometimes 😅).
