We want to share a special story about a man named Mark and a little girl who stole his heart.
Mark, a veteran, came to us looking for a companion. That's when he met a sweet puppy named Cannoli. He adopted her, named her Jasmin, and just like that, he had a new best friend. ❤️
But sometimes life throws us challenges we never see coming. After several months together, Mark found himself facing some personal and health challenges that made it difficult to keep Jasmin by his side. Making the decision to bring her back was anything but easy.
And if there was ever any doubt about how much this man loved his dog, what happened next said it all.
Mark called us every single day. ❤️
He wanted to know how Jazmin was doing. Was she okay? How was his girl? He came to visit her, and through it all, he never stopped hoping there might be a way to bring his best friend home.
While Mark worked on taking care of himself, we did what we could to support him. Sometimes that meant simply answering the phone, giving him an update, and reminding him that Jasmin was doing okay.
And then, little by little, a plan came together.
Mark got his girl back. 🥹❤️🐾
There are some reunions that remind us why we do what we do, and this is one of them...and to say she was excited is an understatement!!
Mark's story is a reminder that sometimes people just need a little time, a little understanding, and someone willing to help them find a way forward. The love was never missing. It was there in every phone call, every visit, and every effort he made to get back to his girl.
To Mark, thank you for your service, for loving Jasmin the way you do, and for never giving up on your best friend.
