20 Years and Counting 🦎💚

Some patients become family, and Delilah is one of them.

This beautiful blue tongue skink has been part of the Street Road Animal Hospital family for nearly 20 years. When her family first brought her to us as a baby, she was facing some health challenges due to improper nutrition and vitamin deficiencies. Over the years, with the right care, proper supplementation, and a dedicated family, Delilah has continued to thrive.

Stories like hers are a reminder of how important proper husbandry is for reptiles. The right diet, calcium, vitamins, lighting, and environment can have a tremendous impact on their long term health and quality of life.

Seeing Delilah healthy, active, and doing so well two decades later is something truly special. We’re grateful to have been part of her journey and look forward to seeing her for many years to come.

Checking In On Poodle 🐱

Poodle, a Sphynx cat, came in to see us after dealing with random episodes of vomiting, so Dr. Baeza performed x rays to make sure there wasn’t anything concerning going on internally.

With pets that love to chew or eat things they shouldn’t, imaging is an important step in ruling out foreign objects or other stomach issues. Thankfully, everything looked normal on her x rays and she’s otherwise doing very well.

Even when initial results look good, ongoing symptoms can still require further diagnostics to help get to the root of the problem and make sure your pet stays healthy long term.

For now, Poodle is staying happy, comfortable, and in good hands.

Needs to be with someone who has time to play and work with her. Very dominant little dog. Someone with kids or a lot of property.
Very playful and can run fast. She will be 5 on July 3rd. Up to date on shots, licensed, crate trained but runs the house no problem and chipped. Gives a woof or scratch to let you know she needs to potty.
( I will keep the chip in my name I don’t want her to end up in a shelter)
Knows basic commands sit, lay down, paw. Gets along with cats and non dominant dogs. She will cuddle up with you on the couch and sleep in bed with you.

Routine Care Matters ✅

Luna and Bella stopped by for their checkups, and visits like these are a great reminder of how important routine care is for keeping pets healthy long term.

Luna came in for a recheck on her ear after being treated for an infection, while Bella was here for vaccines and a full wellness exam. During the visit, Dr. Baeza also spent time going over proper ear cleaning techniques and dental care with their owner because preventative care at home makes a huge difference.

One thing that makes moments like this even more important is being able to communicate clearly and make owners feel comfortable. Dr. Baeza was able to walk through the entire visit in Spanish, helping answer questions directly and making sure everything was fully understood every step of the way.

From ear infections to dental buildup and routine vaccinations, regular visits allow us to stay ahead of problems before they become something more serious.

Healthy pets start with consistent care and strong communication between owners and their veterinary team.

When Donald started having trouble walking and limping on his hind legs, his family knew something wasn’t right. After coming to our team for evaluation, he underwent knee surgery last week and is now on the road to recovery.
