Those hovering hands?
They can cause more issues than solve.
"It worked for me"
Maybe it did.... for your individual dog and your exact circumstances but the advice of taking a bowl away and giving it back or patting a dog eating creates more issues than it prevents.

"I saw a trainer make a video and it worked for him".

Please.....I need to say this clearly, don't do it.

This is one area where following advice online does more harm than good.
They can bite.
That injury may not happen to you but to someone you love.

Puppy showing these issues?
Look to see if their food is adjusted in quantity as they grow.
Sometimes we forget just how quickly they are actually growing and how hungry they become because of that rapid growth.

I'm really sorry..... there are none here.
This is an area that needs a thorough assessment, careful understanding and tailoring an individual plan.

There are no five minute fixes for such a complicated behaviour that affects everyone in the family.

Respect their need for space.

Kahlo is a black 11 week old female Great Dane/Cane Corso/ mastiff mix. She is a very confident and independent puppy that loves to investigate. Kahlo is very astute in new environments. She is learning how to be a well behaved young lady and responds to commands "sit", "stay", "wait", "ok", "out", "in", and “leave it". She is playful with people and other dogs. She loves lying next to her person to watch TV. Kahlo has a big appetite and so is very food motivated for training. If it were up to Kahlo she would snack all day.

Kahlo is working on housebreaking and is coming along well. She is crate trained and walks well on a leash. She loves car rides and travels well.

Training will be a requirement of her adoption.

Kahlo would love an active home that will keep up with her puppy energy and continue to teach her to be the best she can be.

🚨🚨CUTENESS ALERT!!!🚨🚨

Chico is a blind 10 week old Harlequin Great Dane mix. He is very smart and adaptive.
He learned to navigate around the house and out into the yard very quickly.
He also learned to find his food and water bowl, and loves to chew on toys.
He sleeps in his crate or just crashes on the floor when he is tired. He is house trained, he just needs to learn where the back door is so he can ask to go out.
He is wearing a Halo bumper harness so he does not run into things - he bounces off and redirects himself. He wears this while learning where things are in a new environment.
He walks on a leash - but likes to be very close to your feet for reassurance he is going the proper direction.
He is a hungry boy - and very food motivated with treats. He is learning the clicker means treat and to obey the command given.
He is good at meeting people - a little cautious but with reassurance he is good.
Not a huge fan of the car (he rides in a crate as a puppy) but after a quick song he goes to sleep.
He is testing his boundaries and needs a steady routine and to learn how a good puppy should act. He can be a feisty boy at times and needs redirection with toys and calm gentle correction. Training will be a requirement of his adoption. He would do best in a home with another dog to help guide him and play with him.
Chico is a beautiful sweet boy who just needs someone to teach him to be the best boy he can be. He will grow into a big handsome hunk. He is good at meeting other dogs and is young enough to go to a home with cats and children, as long as he gets the training he needs.
