A Message From Our Hospital Manager:
“I am honored to share with you a project I’ve been working on that is near and dear to my heart.
🐾A Gentle Goodbye: Our New Comfort Room
As your veterinary team, we’re here for every stage of your pet’s life — from their very first visit to their final moments. Saying goodbye is one of the hardest parts of loving an animal, and I believe that those moments should be met with peace, dignity, and love.
I’m so proud to share that I’ve updated our euthanasia comfort room, designed to feel more like a cozy living room than a medical area.
This has been a labor of love for me and the team, because you and your pets deserve compassion in every step of your journey together.
Some of the touches that mattered most to me:
🛋️ Comfier and cozier seating. A couch instead of our standard benches. This can allow dogs to sit on the couch with you during their final goodbye, meant to feel more like home than the vet office.
🫙Memory jar. There are notes and markers for you in the room to add your pet’s name, favorite memory, or a goodbye message for them.
🍫 Goodbye Kisses. A jar full of chocolate, because everyone deserves to know what chocolate tastes like.
💐 Memory Seeds. Take a packet to plant and water, and watch the flowers grow in remembrance of your pet.
🏡Less medical, more homey. All our medical equipment tucked away and replaced with a cozy rug, beautiful water fountain, a sound machine to help drown out any rustle and bustle of the clinic, artwork that speaks to us, and so much more.
If you ever need this space, know it will be here — for comfort, for love, and for saying goodbye your way.
