It hit close to home this time! Katie, our clinical practitioner at our Pittsburgh facility, found herself on the other side of the appointment when her pup, Aragorn (aka Strider), tore his CCL. Here he is in the park, channeling his inner park ranger with the help of his knee brace!

This past Monday, we had a fantastic time hosting our casting wet lab for continuing education! Veterinarians, techs, PTs, and rehab professionals from across the Northeast joined us to learn more about veterinary orthotics. It was wonderful meeting everyone and sharing knowledge to help even more pets get back to moving comfortably.

Meet Hunter, this handsome Irish Setter! Today he came in for the fitting of his brace for a CCL injury. Right now, he’s still just toe-touching with his back leg and that’s totally normal! The brace doesn’t force dogs to use their leg; it keeps the leg in proper alignment and supports them as they heal.

Scout’s on the mend! 🐾 After a CCL injury (that’s a dog’s version of an ACL), Scout’s wearing a custom knee brace to help support her leg as she heals and stays active. We love seeing her eager to get moving again!

Fun fact: A dog’s “knee” is actually called a stifle! So while we say Jake is sporting a knee brace, technically he’s rocking a stifle brace. Either way, it’s keeping him moving strong and steady.
