Meet Oliver Forton – U.S. Marine veteran, certified dog trainer, and your new go-to guy for turning canine chaos into calm, confident obedience!

Oliver’s journey started with four years in the Marine Corps as an Infantry Assaultman, where discipline, precision, and commitment were a way of life. But everything changed when he met Valkyrie, a fierce and loyal German Shepherd who sparked his passion for dog training. After leaving the military, Oliver used his GI Bill to attend a premier dog training academy, where he earned certifications in basic obedience, behavior modification, and police K9 instruction.

Since then, Oliver has worked in a wide range of training environments, honing his skills in scent detection, service dog training, behavior rehab, personal protection, and even hunting retriever training through the AKC and HRC. From working dogs to family pets, Oliver’s mission is always the same — bring out the absolute best in every dog.

Now, he's thrilled to be joining the MidproK9 team, where he’ll be leading obedience classes, private lessons, and immersive board & train programs. What excites him most? Working with dedicated dog lovers who are ready to reach their training goals and build stronger, more fulfilling relationships with their four-legged companions.

Whether you're starting with the basics or fine-tuning advanced obedience, Oliver brings Marine-grade grit, a passion for dogs, and a whole lot of heart to every session.
