**IMPORTANT INFORMATION! PLEASE READ**
I want to take a moment to explain why I require the Parvo and Rabies vaccines. Letβs start with with obvious. Rabies vaccine is Michigan state law and most groomers require it. However, every groomer is different and there are several that don't require any vaccines. While it may be more convenient for you, it is risky for your pet. Putting your pet at risk is not something I am willing to do.
Why do I require Parvo? Simple answer: it is a highly contagious and deadly disease that can be transferred easily. It's most commonly spread through licking, sniffing, or eating f***s left from an infected dog, even the smallest amount. It can also spread through saliva or vomit. It is a hardy virus that survives on many surfaces, including grass, soil, toys, bowls, leashes, collars, and bedding. Owners can carry the virus on their hands, shoes, and clothing, spreading it unknowingly.
Even if your dog shows no signs of being sick, they could still be carrying the virus if not vaccinated. Therefore, they could be spreading it without anyone realizing. This is why it is so important to maintain a clean salon, sanitize every surface properly in between dogs, and require up to date vaccines.
I realize that the chance of your dog carrying the virus is low, but it is never zero. In fact, several years ago there was a Parvo outbreak in the state of Michigan, including the Three Rivers area. This was confirmed by local veterinarians. So, yes, I do require Parvo and Rabies because I take the safety of everyoneβs pet seriously.
Thank you for understanding! π₯°
