Been a while since I’ve posted anything. Got my first batch of capes back 2 weeks ago. I put 10 on forms. Just got in my next round of forms today. Here’s 4 that I finished this morning.

Thought I’d give a quick update to the whole tanning of capes. I dropped off the first 20 capes at the new tanner. Those 20 put them over 100 for that day. He informed me it would probably be at least 6 months to get those back. That puts me into May before I can even get started. With that being said, if I’m unable to find a tanner with a better turn around , this could be my last year

For reasons beyond anyone's control, this year I will be having to ship capes out for tanning. My local place is no longer available for me, for business reasons, and I wish them nothing but success. I have always taken great pride in keeping my prices down, and turn around times as fast as possible. Because of the increase in costs and the incurred shipping fees, I am forced to increase my prices on shoulder mounts. Beginning now 10/1/23, my deer shoulder mounts will be $575, and my turn around will definately be longer. I'm sorry for this increase in both costs and turn around, but it's out of my control. Thank you for understanding.

The old man asked if I was interested in doing euros for him start to finish. Used 1 of his bucks from this past season and a buddy of mine that was unsure of what he wanted to do with his as test runs. Dads turned out good but I learned a few things along the way. After talking to another local guy that does them I went for #2. 2nd go around was a big success. Very happy with the way it turned out. Hopefully come next season I’m knocking them out with regularity for everyone. Thanks again to everyone for your continued support over the years of something my dad loves to do.
