ADOPTION DAY FOR WILSON!

Wilson’s story is such a sweet one.

This tiny little guy came to us at just 7 weeks old. Then, at a fundraiser event, I showed Wilson’s future mom a photo of him… and she immediately knew she needed this kitten in her life.

Naturally, Wilson decided that being adorable wasn’t quite enough and needed to add a little “spice” to the adoption process. He came down with ringworm. Because apparently, “tiny adorable kitten” wasn’t already enough work. 😂

So Wilson spent the last few weeks battling the fungal beast, getting treated, and patiently waiting for his big homecoming. And after all that nonsense, he has officially been CLEARED to go home!

And the best part? Wilson is going home to a big brother who was ALSO adopted from Hermione’s Home!

We absolutely love when our rescue babies get to stay connected to the Hermione’s Home family. We have a feeling these two boys are going to cause A LOT of mischief together… and give their humans an even bigger amount of love.

Happy Adoption Day, Wilson! Go forth, tiny man. Cause trouble. Steal hearts. Give cuddles. And please, for the love of all things feline, leave the ringworm behind.

Does anyone remember the cat with the saddest eyes you’ve ever seen, cowered in the corner of a shelter’s cage? The same cat that was abandoned by the only family she ever knew we they decided to move and leave her behind? Peppa had lost all hope of loving again.. until she realized she was safe in her foster home.

Peppa is doing SO well. She is learning to trust again, with the help of temptations! Peppa has been in her foster home for many months now, and not one application has been for her. I figured I’d tell everyone a little bit more about this girl and what we’ve learned about her true personality!
Peppa loves male cats!
She loves to sit with the people she trusts and just watch.
She LOVES to be spoken to.
She loves temptation treats even more than that.
She really enjoys watching the birds outside her window.
She like human and cat company - even if she doesn’t like to be touched, YET.
We are so hopeful we can find a forever home for this sweet girl. A home who wants a friend and companion, but understands that Peppa doesn’t want to be pet and could take some time to warm up.

Please share our girl in hopes we can finally find this girl a home she can confidently call her forever. ❤️

As you all know, our sweet Sundae gave birth to her little scoops on Monday morning! While everyone is doing well, kitten foster extraordinaire Alicia Marie is having to do supplemental bottle feeding until Sundae's milk fully comes in. It's believed that since she was so malnourished, she is taking a little longer than usual.

She is being fed around the clock and is thoroughly enjoying it! However, we are going through A LOT of food and could really use some help!

Sharing our amazon wishlist in case anyone can help us fatten this mama and babies up! Thank you! Thank you! 💗

SHE DID IT! Sundae safely gave birth on her own to 4 little cutie pies early this morning. They are small but seem to be ok! Foster mom Alicia Marie will be watching them like a hawk to make sure they get the best care possible.

After 3 days in the hospital, Sundae is finally back home in foster care.

When she came to us, she was pregnant, painfully thin, and very sick. From the very beginning, we’ve been clear about one thing: our priority has always been Sundae. Healthy babies would be an incredible bonus, but they don’t have a chance if mom doesn’t. Saving her has always been the mission.

The incredible team at Central worked around the clock to stabilize her with hospitalization, IV fluids, bloodwork, ultrasounds, antibiotics, anti-nausea medication, and constant monitoring. We’re so grateful she’s now well enough to continue recovering in foster care.

Her final hospital bill was $3,004.58.

Because of all of you, we’ve raised about $2,100 so far. Thank you to every person who donated, shared, commented, or sent good thoughts. You made it possible for Sundae to get the care she desperately needed.

One thing many people don’t realize is that rescues like ours have to pay for emergency veterinary care up front. We can’t tell the hospital, “We’ll fundraise later.” If we don’t have enough money in our account when emergencies happen, our volunteers personally put the charges on their own credit cards so an animal never has to wait for lifesaving treatment. We do it because we refuse to let finances be the reason a cat doesn’t get a chance.

We’re still about $900 short on Sundae’s hospital bill, and every donation helps reimburse the volunteers who stepped up so she could receive immediate care.

I’ve attached the hospital invoice so everyone can see the extent of the treatment she received over the last three days.

If you’re able to donate, we’d be so grateful. If you can’t, sharing this post helps more than you know.

Thank you for believing that mom matters. Tonight, Sundae is home, safe, resting comfortably, and getting stronger every day. Now we can focus on helping her gain weight, continue healing, and give both her and her little scoops the best chance possible.

Update on Mama Sundae & her little scoops:

Things got a bit more serious for our beautiful mama to be. After some concerning lab values, our veterinary team and I decided it’d be in Sundae & her little scoops best interest to be admitted to the hospital for around the clock supportive care.

She has been hospitalized since late last night, receiving IV fluids, IV antibiotics and IV anti nausea meds. She still has yet to eat or drink anything. The team will be considering a feeding tube if this doesn't change in the next 24 hours. While clinically she is still very touch and go.. she is now making biscuits and rolling around for the care team at the hospital. She is such a special girl that is proving to be SO strong.

As of now, at least a few of her babies have heartbeats. We are hoping to get Sundae strong enough to deliver these little ice cream scoops safely and be able to nurse them effectively. She still has an up hill climb, but we will continue to fight for her as long as possible.

I am uploading our current estimate in case anyone can help us out. We have received about $2,000 in donations for her in the past few days (which is INCREDIBLE!!!!), but as you can see, that doesn’t even cover half of her low end estimate.

Happy Adoption Day, Blossom & Sweet Pea 🌼

Some goodbyes are harder than others, and today is one of those days.

When Blossom came into our care in April, she was weeks away from giving birth. It was clear she had been through some trauma. Despite everything, she was the most devoted mama, protecting them, nurturing them, and loving them with her whole heart.

Over the past few months, we've watched something truly beautiful happen. Little by little, Blossom began to trust again. The walls she had built to protect herself slowly came down, and she showed us the incredibly gentle, affectionate, loving soul that had been there all along. She reminded us that even after experiencing hardship, it's possible to open your heart again.

Today, our hearts are overflowing with joy because Blossom and her baby, Sweet Pea, have found their forever home—together.

Their new family is so loving and is willing to give them as much time as they need to earn their trust. Blossom instantly felt at-ease with them, which isn't the case with every visitor.

Blossom, thank you for trusting us. Thank you for showing us resilience, grace, and unconditional love.

Your forever starts today, and while we'll miss you and Sweet Pea, our hearts are full knowing you've found exactly where you belong.
Happy forever, sweet girls. You will always be part of our rescue family. 🩷

Beautiful sundae was abandoned in a box in a vacant lot with some of her friends.

Very pregnant.
Very sick.
Very skinny.
Very scared.

This sweet girl has been so shut down and shaking since she arrived, it’s absolutely heartbreaking. She started to open her heart to me last night by way of nuzzles and elevator butt status. I love her.

She had a crap appetite all weekend. Was drooling. Frozen in place. Peeing and pooping where she lay.

She spent the day with our friends at Prospect Veterinary Hospital today. Our girl has a grade 3 heart murmur(which I knew), is extremely nauseous, anemic and has a uri. We are waiting for blood work to come back tomorrow to help us determine if anything awful is causing her to feel so crummy or if her symptoms are from heartbreak and pregnancy.

Either way, we are on her side. Always. Mom comes first. Without mom, there will be no kittens. We’ve opted for nausea meds and antibiotics even tho they haven’t been studied in pregnant cats ( 🙄 ). I will continue to give her SQ fluids and hope she can gain enough strength for a labor and delivery.

This girl deserves the world and I’m willing to help her fight for that good life. With kitten foster expert Alicia Marie on standby to help support babies if need be 🩷🩷

We had $42 left in the rescue account this morning, not enough to cover her $500 day at the vet. If anyone would like to help fund her care, please donate here or to our Venmo ( under charities) or PayPal ([email protected]). We’d be forever grateful 🩷

They just keep coming…

Tomorrow we will be welcoming these sweet babies into our care. Sundae, a late term pregnant lady with a grade 3 heart murmur that was found abandoned in a box in a vacant lot with 2 other cats 😔💔, and 2 (one of the babies passed away 💔) little crusty underweight kittens.

We could use some help with some supplies! Sharing our amazon wish list in case anyone can send these cuties some food, toys, etc. The babies and I will be eternally grateful! 🩷
