Cats always say thank you before they go home. Some do it in quiet ways… and some make sure you feel it forever. Bean is one of those special thank yous.

Every time we open our home to a foster, we tell ourselves it’s temporary — just a stop on their journey. But they always leave us with something permanent. A memory. A lesson. A little piece of their heart.

People think fostering is just about saving them… but the truth is, they save us right back. They remind us how powerful kindness is. How healing safety can be. How love doesn’t have to last forever to matter forever.

And when it’s time to say goodbye, it’s never easy. But somehow, they make it feel okay — like their “thank you” carries us through the heartbreak.

Bean, thank you for trusting us. Thank you for loving us. Thank you for reminding us why we do this.

We are so happy that you get to start your forever today, sans kittens. Thank you for your extra special "thank you" snuggles.

Happy Life, Bean (now Bella ❤️) we love you,
Foster Mom & Dad

It's time to find Junior a home!! Someone with a huge heart must be out there to help this perfect boy.

Junior is a 3 year old, neutered boy ready to find his forever. We found Junior in Waterbury wandering the streets in the freezing cold. He had a cold and was limping a bit so we brought him straight to our vet. He has recovered from his injuries and cold and is now looking for his forever home!

We are looking for a special adopter for Junior. Someone who is willing to open their home and heart to this special boy. Junior has tested positive for FeLV. While he is currently healthy, he will likely require close follow ups with the vet to ensure he stays that way. FeLV positive kitties can live with other FeLV positive kitties or be singles. Junior would be happy either way.

Junior LOVES attentions and pets. He will also crawl into your lap for a good snuggle if you sit near him. This boy is so perfect and deserves the absolute world. We are hoping to find that for him.

Please apply for Junior at hermioneshome.com under "Adopt"

FeLV + FIV -, up to date on vaccines & neutered

ADOPTION ALERT!

Toffee & Jelly Bean came to me in July from the euthanasia list as incredibly sick babies. I nursed them back to health and fell in love during their time here. They’ve really grown on my family and I. And while we would have kept them forever, we knew the best thing for them was to be adopted to someone who could give them much more attention than we could.

They were adopted today!! They will have a lovely forever with an amazing couple. They will also have a dog brother who loves cats. I am so happy for these boys. But man, does the house feel empty without them.

Rescue can be so bittersweet.
Happy life, sweet boys. 💙💙

UPDATE: meet and greet scheduled for Sunday!! 😻

We've been dealing with some complex medical kitties recently but wanted to hop on here and announce that Bean's babies are ready for their forever homes!

Meet Alfalfa & Cannellini, two 10 week old irresistible bonded sisters looking for their forever home — together! These sweet girls share a beautiful sister bond and can almost always be found side by side, whether they’re curled up in a cozy cuddle puddle or teaming up for their next big adventure. They are champion snugglers who melt right into your arms and will happily keep you company for movie nights, afternoon naps, and everything in between.

When it’s playtime, their personalities truly shine! They loooove a good game of laser tag and will zoom, pounce, and leap with pure kitten joy as they chase that sneaky red dot. Wand toys, crinkle balls, and playful wrestling matches are also high on their list of favorites. After they’ve gotten their wiggles out, they’re more than ready to curl up together (and with you!) for sweet snuggles and loud, happy purrs.

Alfalfa & Cannellini would thrive in a loving home that will cherish their playful spirits and their deep sister connection. If you’re ready for double the cuddles, double the entertainment, and double the love, these two precious girls are waiting to meet you!

FeLV/FIV negative. Have received their first vaccines, will be spayed once they are old enough.

Junior and Quinn say “thank you so much for the donations!”

Thank you to everyone who has donated to these cuties care so far!! It’s sooo appreciated!!

Junior is starting to feel better after his vet day and meds yesterday! Quinn will see the vet on Thursday! She has had a bit of an upset tummy but is the sweetest girl there is. Nonstop purrs and nuzzles from that one!

We still have about $200 to go to cover junior’s initial bill. And anticipate Quinn’s will be another $300. And this is all before the spay/neuter costs. Please help us help them if you can. 🩷🫶🏻 forever grateful for everyone on this journey with us!

We just can't say no to these poor babies. Last night, we took in two strays from Waterbury who have been struggling to survive outside.
One of them needed urgent medical care. This little boy's name is Junior. He is very very sweet but nervous. He came to us with a URI, a pretty bad limp, and some strange old scars. This boy has not had it easy.
Thank goodness, Prospect Veterinary Hospital was able to fit us in today to give this guy a full work up. His old wounds appear to be healed, thank goodness. He does have a pretty bad URI and we await his bloodwork results to be sure we are treating him thoroughly. He will be on cage rest until his leg heals up.
This sweet boy is safe and warm, with a belly full of food. I am glad we could help him.

I will introduce his sister, Quinn, at a later time. For now, we really need some help to pay for his vet bill which came in at $787.43 (posted in these photos). Quinn will see the vet on Thursday for (hopefully) a less extensive exam!

We would so appreciate any help at all ❤️💛💚
