Honestly I didnt know

Being in the dog world for over 30 years, I knew how to help Sofie deal with her reactivity due to anxiety.

I just Honestly didnt know all of the proper terms for everything.

Things like trigger stacking and zones.

Oh I knew what they all were, but couldn't explain it to you.

It wasn't until I did the research for my book that I learned how I can help people.

I have seen so much of it since covid.

Monty stopped dead in his tracks and refused to go any farther. Just stood there… staring.

Sofie was on high alert too, but she’s always scanning her surroundings, so that part didn’t immediately alarm me.

Then I heard why Monty had stopped.
A low, feline growl—almost a hiss—coming from the wooded area.
Definitely not a house cat.

Most likely a bobcat. They’re common out here.
Could it have been a Florida panther? Maybe… but I doubt it.

Either way, we made a quick U-turn and headed the other direction.
Monty stayed extra watchful the rest of the walk
