Life with Reef's Operation Homeward Bound FINDING LOVING HOMES FOR THE SHELTER DOGS AT PALM BEACH COUNTY ACC 🐕
FOSTER OR ADOPT 💙💛🩵

My heart has been on quite the roller coaster 🎢 lately. I refuse to give up, IYKYK!
Today marks 2 weeks since Max returned to the shelter 😩💔

Let me break down what this looks like.
He was being fostered for 3 months in loving home. 🏠 He had love, cuddles, a comfy couch to lay on, yummy 😋 quality food the foster fed him that cleared up his skin condition from the harsh elements of the shelter along with stress and chicken allergy. He had shoes for walking bc they didnt want him to burn his toe beans 🥺, he had toys 🧸, he had air conditioning… he had a life!!!
That is all taken away from him now 💔
He is only 1 yrs and 7 mnths old. He had had a ruff life and its not fair! Hes a good boy and anyone would be so lucky to have them in their family.

Max is part of my Life with Reef’s Operation Homeward Bound program!

When you foster we supply everything he needs!
🤙🏻Food, medical, constant support, enrichment, etc .

When adopted we also sponsor 3 training sessions with one of our partners!

Seeing Max struggle yesterday was gut wrenching 💔 he is soooooo stressed out and so very confused why he is back at the shelter all alone . His skin is becoming an issue again and he is swimming in his own drool from stress panting. He needs out!!! We fear he will get a deadline, I am trying as hard as I can but I need your support, your shares, your comments …Max needs you!

No cats 🐱
No small dogs 🐕
With slow and proper introductions we feel another chill dog would be ✅ok

Pablo wants to thank everyone for donating to his “camp stay” while his fosters went away!
We are beyond thrilled to have found and to add her to our ⭕️ circle! I went to visit this handsome dude today and enjoyed spending time bouncing ideas around with Nicole while getting much needed Pablo hugs!
The universe happens in mysterious ways when one door shuts a new one always opens! Pablo is now learning some basics and having a ball at his boarding camp! Thank you again for everyone’s donations! We literally could not do this without your support! 🐶🌴💙

We are in the middle of a full-blown crisis in this country when it comes to homeless dogs — and yet the people in power continue to ignore the core issues while thousands of dogs die every single day.

Dogs sit in shelters for YEARS unseen.
Dogs are euthanized for space.
Dogs are labeled with “kennel stress” after being locked in cages for months and then discarded like they never mattered.
Some never even get a chance.

And while this is happening… why are hobby breeding licenses in places like Palm Beach County only $150? Why are puppy stores still allowed to exist when they are the retail outlet for puppy mills?

Make it make sense.

Rescuers, advocates, fosters, and volunteers are working 24/7 trying to save lives with little to no support, only constant pushback. We save five dogs, and 100 more are next in line to die. The system is broken and everyone knows it.

Why are we not addressing the housing crisis affecting pet owners? Families are being forced out of their homes and cannot find rentals that accept dogs — especially certain breeds. People are surrendering animals they love because they have nowhere else to go.

We need REAL solutions:
• Mandatory affordable spay & neuter programs
• Stronger penalties for backyard breeders
• Restrictions on irresponsible breeding
• Accountability for puppy stores
• Housing protections for responsible dog owners
• Education on proper dog ownership and wellness
• Action from HOAs and private landlords
• Enforcement for roaming and abandoned dogs

Every time I open Facebook, there’s another “FOUND DOG” post — especially in areas like Jupiter Farms. This is not normal. This is what happens when irresponsible ownership and lack of policy collide.

We cannot keep pretending this is just “part of rescue.” It is a systemic failure.

Start showing up to commissioner meetings.
Write your lawmakers.
Push for programs that protect animals.
Vote for people who actually care.

This issue needs to be on everyone’s agenda because the animals are paying for our silence with their lives.

A huge thank you to Paul David Jewelry for their continued support, friendship, and dedication to helping us at ❤️

We met this incredible family in the summer of 2023 when they reached out to learn more about our program. As fellow rescue lovers with a large rescue pack of their own, we instantly connected — especially with Monica, who has been heavily involved in dog rescue herself.

Not long after our first conversation, they saw my plea for Target and immediately stepped up to foster him… eventually making him a permanent part of their family 🐾 From that moment on, they have been some of our biggest supporters, and we are forever grateful.

They even created a display wall in their business featuring dogs currently in our program who are still searching for homes, along with a donation box to help support our mission. Yesterday, Reef and I stopped by to update the flyers for our current dogs, and they surprised us with an incredibly generous donation collected from their clients.

We truly cannot run this program without the support of our community. While we are not a 501(c)(3), we are proudly registered with the State of Florida as a charitable business, and every dollar donated goes directly toward helping dogs from Palm Beach County Animal Care & Control.

Through our program, we place dogs into foster homes and prepare them for successful adoptions by covering food, supplies, medical care, training, beds, collars, leashes, bowls — whatever each dog needs to thrive. Most importantly, we continue to support them long after they leave the shelter because every dog and every adopter becomes part of our family.

We may be small, but we have an enormous amount of passion, drive, and love for these dogs — and an incredible community standing behind us.

Thank you for believing in us and helping us continue saving lives 🖤

PS ~ They are magical at making jewelry!!! They made my beautiful Dog mom chain necklace 🐶🐶🐶🩷🤙🏻🌴

We wont stop until the best boy is out of the shelter and into a LOVING HOME 🏡 !!
Help us get Max out of the cage and onto a comfy couch! 🛋️
Sadly we did not secure a new foster despite our nonstop efforts💔
seeing this beautiful, loving boy back behind bars and alone, wondering what he did to have to go back is crushing our souls.😩
He is still a part of and that means he has an army behind him! This means we wil spend 24/7 searching for his perfect match!
Max is one years old and seven months. He is still a baby meaning he still needs some training so unless you’re willing to put in the work, don’t even apply. That being said he already has some of the basics down such as sit and paw! He is extremely smart and treat motivated! He was the perfect guest at his Foster’s house for three months! No accidents and completely housebroken🩷 he’s a very chill laid-back guy, but if he sees a lizard, he does get excited and pull, so that’s where his training comes in! If we find a committed adapter, we will sponsor three training sessions with one of our training partners .
Max is beyond gorgeous and he just loves to be with his people! He has a goofy personality and he’s just pure goodness. He would make the perfect companion for someone.
There are three questions I get asked so let’s get into it
1) does he get along with 🐱 cats? ~ we dont know bc we dont cat test. He does chase lizards 🦎 and does not do well with little dogs
2) Is he kid friendly? ~ we have not had him any around little kids. The Foster had older kids and he loved them and everybody so that’s the best I could tell you, he is a very gentle dude. You as parents need to make sure your kids have proper dog manners and always supervise young children with dogs, regardless which dog it is.
3) Is he dog friendly? ~ he’s been in a couple of playgroups at the shelter. He vibes better with chill dogs so a proper , slow introduction would be necessary . No more than one dog please .
We gave Max a private shopping 🛍️ spree at and they immediately fell in love with him too, We know his family is put there so please help share Magical Max!

Adopt Max 🤎
✨ Max is 🪄 MAGIC✨
Max is currently in a short-term foster until MAY, and we are determined to find him a forever home before he has to return to the shelter.
He deserves so much more than going back to a lonely, overcrowded kennel.

🤎This handsome, one-year-old boy is truly something special. ❣️❣️❣️
Max is calm, chill, and easygoing—but still has a playful side that will make you smile ear to ear every day.
He loves to play 🎾 ball!
🥰He’s incredibly affectionate, loves being around people, and is very smart🎓

💙💛🩵Max was selected for Life with Reef’s Operation Homeward Bound Last Chance Dog Project in partnership with PBCACC because he is one of the longest residents and is being overlooked! We immediately fell in love with him day one!We know he will make a family so happy!! 🙏🏻❣️🐶🏡

🏡One of the biggest benefits of adopting a foster dog like Max is that we already know him in a home environment. We’ve seen his personality, his manners, and how he bonds—and he is READY for a forever family.

Here is a love letter from his foster family 💌

“Max has been an absolute joy to foster over the past month, and it’s clear he’s ready for a loving forever home. He is sweet, he follows rules, he’s 🤎affectionate, and an expressive dog, who truly bonds with his people.
He’ll even “talk” to you and happily respond when 🥹you say “I love you.” Max is playful 🎾and love’s games like tug of war, but he also settles nicely and enjoys relaxing 😎 near his humans. He’s incredibly engaging, smart 📚, an eager to connect, making him a wonderful companion for someone who wants a loyal loving and interactive dog. 🐕 Max thrives with attention, structure, and love, and he will make an amazing addition to a loving home.🏠 “

🚫👎Let’s not let him go back to the shelter. Let’s change his life.

🐾 If you’ve been thinking about adopting, THIS is your sign.🐾 If you can’t adopt, please share to help Max find his person.

Adopt or Foster Lucy❤️❤️❤️
We are looking to bring her into out LCD Project but in order to do that I need Your help! We need a foster !🥰

Lucy is the perfect little girl who keeps finding herself back at the shelter, 😒not because of anything she’s done wrong, but because humans have failed her.
She’s very nervous and scared of the world, yet she’s just yearning💕 to be loved and to trust someone worthy of loving her back.

🥹I don’t know what trauma Lucy has lived through, but I do know we can help her rewrite her future — with your help. 🤗When she feels safe, her gentle, sweet personality shines, and she even gets playful with the cutest little zoomies. Shes the perfect mix of high energy and chill vibes 🤙🏻🏄‍♀️
In the moments I spent with her she stole my heart ❤️ I have a special place for the Dog struggling the most as we all know.

🥰I’m looking for a foster to welcome Lucy into Life with Reef’s Operation Homeward Bound: Last Chance Dog Project. If you foster, all food, medical care, supplies, and support will be provided.❤️

✨✨Please open your heart to this beautiful little soul who deserves her chance. only patient and compassionate humans , low traffic home apply 💕💕💕
