Dogs eat the darndest things! 🐶

Did you know that if your dog swallows certain toxins or foreign objects—like this scrunchie—we may be able to induce vomiting with a simple injection?

Timing is everything! Ideally, we want to act within 1–2 hours of ingestion. Calling your veterinarian right away could save valuable time and help your pet avoid costly hospitalization or surgery.

✨Introducing AMANDA ✨

Amanda has joined team BHV as our newest veterinary technician assistant!

Amanda was born and raised in Lake Worth, Florida. She has always had a passion for working with animals. She attended college in Georgia, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a Pre-Veterinary concentration.

Outside of work, you can usually find her out on the water or enjoying the beach with her Belgian Malinois mix, Olive. 🫒 She is excited to continue growing in her career in veterinary medicine and doing what she loves every day at The Beach House Vet!

We are thrilled to introduce you to one of our newest team members, Angel!

With 18 years of experience in the veterinary field, Angel is passionate about providing exceptional care for pets and supporting the families who love them. She is excited to take on the role of Pharmacy and Lab Technician, a new position that allows her to continue growing within the profession she has dedicated her career to.

Angel previously worked alongside Dr. Rowley for nearly 10 years and is thrilled to be reunited and working together again. Their long-standing professional relationship and shared commitment to patient care makes this new chapter especially meaningful.

Outside of work, Angel enjoys spending time with her husband, whom she married in October 2025, her two daughters, and her beloved dogs, Yin and Meeko. In her free time, she enjoys reading, recreating artwork through painting, and caring for her collection of houseplants.

🇺🇸❤️ Happy Fourth of July from all of us at The Beach House Vet! ❤️🇺🇸

We hope your day is filled with family, friends, sunshine, and celebration—but don’t forget that the holiday can be one of the most stressful and dangerous days of the year for our pets.

Here are a few ways to help keep your furry family members safe:
🐾 Keep pets indoors during fireworks and close windows and curtains to help reduce the noise.
🐾 Make sure collars and ID tags are secure, and double-check that your pet’s microchip information is up to date.
🐾 Skip the table scraps. Foods like onions, grapes, chocolate, corn cobs, and fatty meats can make pets very sick.
🐾 Keep fireworks, sparklers, lighter fluid, and glow sticks well out of reach.
🐾 Provide a quiet, comfortable space where your pet can feel safe, and consider calming music.

We were so thrilled to welcome Dory to The BHV family this week! Dory’s family has been bringing their dogs to see Dr. Rowley for over a decade, and after their previous dogs passed away they took a break from pets…but we knew they would be back! You can imagine how happy we were when this precious rescue mix captured their hearts and brought them back to us!! ❤️

Dr. Rowley doesn’t just treat your pets, she truly enjoys getting to know you and becoming a part of the family…just ask Mr. and Mrs. Ball. This is just one of the reasons why The BHV is so unique. 🥰
