Hear Him Roar! 🦁

Step aside, Mufasa—Simba is here to claim the throne of your heart! This 4-year-old handsome hunk arrived at PRC in mid-June and has been charming staff and volunteers ever since.

🎾 Simba’s Royal Resume Includes:
•Master of fetch (especially squeaky toys and tennis balls!)
•Knows “sit,” “stay,” and is working on his royal manners
•Gentle with treats and generous with kisses
•Loves belly rubs, back pats, and leaning in for affection

🐕 About His Kingdom:
Simba is selective with other dogs, so PRC recommends a meet-and-greet if you have other dogs at home. He’s shown some resource guarding with toys, so he’ll thrive best in a home that understands his boundaries and gives him space to be his playful, toy-loving self.

Lovely Lydia – Office Queen in Recovery! ✨🐾

Meet Lydia, our elegant little office assistant who’s traded in the streets for spreadsheets! This 8-year-old beauty arrived at PRC in mid-July as a stray with a severe facial injury and declawed front paws—but don’t let her tough start fool you. Lydia is all purrs and headbutts now that she’s healing in the comfort of a staff office.

🖥️ Office Life Suits Her Purr-fectly:
•Loves to perch on desks and file cabinets like the queen she is 👑
•Greets visitors with gentle headbutts and a steady purr
•Enjoys attention and affection on her terms—she’s a classy lady, after all!

🩺 Medical Update:
Lydia is recovering from a jaw injury and is doing wonderfully with pain meds, antibiotics, and routine cleanings. She eats well on her own and continues to thrive in a calm, cozy environment.

Straight outta Bedrock and into our hearts! Wilma is a gentle, front-declawed (arrived at PRC in this condition) calico who’s traded in her prehistoric past for a cozy foster.

Looking for a dog who brings the energy, the fun, and the splash? Mondu is your guy! This young, toy-loving adventurer is all about fetch, pool time, and soaking up the Florida sun.

💦 Mondu’s Favorite Things:
•Chasing toys like a pro
•Splashing in the pool (and even the pond!)
•Rolling in the grass and zooming through the garden
•Going on car rides and giving kisses before settling in for the trip

🐕 Important Notes:
Mondu is not a fan of other dogs and needs to be the only pet in the home. He’s shown reactivity toward other dogs and should not be placed in a home with them. But with people? He’s affectionate, playful, and eager to please. He’s done well on outings, meeting new people, and exploring new places with curiosity and confidence.

Mondu is still young and full of potential. He just needs a home where he can thrive as your one and only. If you’re looking for a loyal, playful, and water-loving companion, Mondu is ready to make a splash in your life!

Meet Carla, a resilient and affectionate 8-year-old pup who’s been through a lot—but you’d never know it from her loving spirit. Carla arrived at PRC in August after being found hit by a car. Despite her rough start, this gentle girl has shown nothing but gratitude, tail wags, and kisses. 💕

🩺 Medical Marvel:
Carla was a champ during her vet exam—allowing all handling, giving kisses to the techs, and even sitting patiently for her nail trim. She’s healing beautifully and is ready to find a home where she can continue her journey surrounded by love.

🐾 Carla’s Personality:
•Easy to leash and walks like a pro
•Super affectionate—loves to sit between your legs for pets
•Treat-motivated and always polite

Our Vintage Sweetheart! 🌸

Looking for a gentle soul to share your quiet moments and sunshine strolls? Meet Pony, a 9-year-old cuddle connoisseur. She may be a “vintage model,” but she’s got a heart full of love and a tail that still wags for belly rubs and poolside lounging.

💖 Why We Love Pony
•Calm, affectionate, and oh-so-gentle
•Loves to lean in for pets and will nudge your hand if you stop too soon
•Housebroken in her office foster and alerts when she needs to go out

🐶 Doggy Details
Pony is a bit selective with her doggy friends, so slow intros are best. She’s been non-reactive on walks and prefers people over playgroups. She hasn’t met cats yet, but she’s done well with older kids.

🩺 Medical Notes
•Heartworm positive, but PRC will provide her treatment at no cost to her new family
•Has osteoarthritis, which may cause some long-term lameness, but she’s managing well with pain meds and joint supplements

At 8 years young, Midnight may be a senior, but don’t let that fool you—this boy is full of charm, heart, and the sweetest little quirks that make him shine like starlight. Originally surrendered in October 2024, Midnight has been patiently waiting for his happily-ever-after.

These golden oldies range from 8 to 12 years old, and each one has a heart full of love and a story to tell. Whether they came in as strays, were surrendered, or rescued from tough situations, they’re all looking for a second chance.

Yulissa may be short in stature, but she’s big on love, loyalty, and lap time! This adorable low-rider has been through a lot, and while the shelter environment is a bit overwhelming for her, she absolutely blossoms in a home. 💕
