Bastian A cute rescue that came into my life when I least expected. As I often heard, he rescued me and I am just here to join him on an amazing life together.

My life journey began sometime in 2015 (my given B-Day is April 15). I ended up in a high kill shelter in California. Luckily a wonderful lady came and rescued me. A couple days after being rescued, I got really sick and almost died. With her help and her ability to reach out to other rescue groups, they saved me. They think I may have had distemper as I tested positive. It was caught early and du

e to the medical help I received quickly, I recovered. For this, I want to reach out to all who helped and supported me during this dark time. Thank You. This is not the end of my journey, my new Rescue Mommy (who named me Spike) flew me home to NJ with her and I met all her four-legged friends some of who were also rescues, including one who looks almost like me, Buddy, but is unable to walk but gets around with a wheelie! He is a good friend to me. Well, I gained weight and it was time to find my “furever” family. That’s when I found out my new Daddies had already followed my journey on Facebook and was watching over my progress. They recently lost their best pals and didn’t realize I would end up filling that void. To make a long story short, I met them and knew immediately that this must be my place. I seem to look just like all their past pals all rolled up into one. I even have the same traits as all of them in one little bundle. I’m home now with a new name, Bastian; and I’m ready to begin a new journey. One that is going to be the envy of even my human friends. Join me now on this journey and see where I go next! NOTE FROM DADDIES: Please reach out and support these rescues who make a huge difference in not only the lives of those they save but for the humans who adopt. This is just one small rescue dog that was saved with the help of a community of rescue groups when the medical bills piled up quickly. There are rescue groups that go through this every single day. So reach out and support them. A little pocket change really does save a life (human and dog).

I'm asked, why do you always take so many pictures of Bastian? My answer, I'm here for so many years and he's only here a fraction of my life. He's such a large part of my life, but yet I'm his whole life. The bed and blanket he is laying on belonged to my Q-Bert who past 27 years ago but yet I hold onto both. They are a reminder of a love that I held deeply for over 15 years. Bastian will be my final love when that time comes and I want to immortalize him as best I can so that in some small way, he will always be present in my life. Mi amor siempre estará contigo.

I'm back from my trip to Mexico. That now makes three countries I've visited, not to mention all the 48 states in the U.S.! I LOVED the beach. I made my Daddies take me outside every day where I just layed around and took walks on the beach! They tell me we'll be going back at some point again!

Halfway through our trip in Mexico (Rocky Point, Puerto Penasco). I don't think I've been on a beach since we lived in NJ and went to Asbury! I'm loving the surf and trying to find critters in the sand. It makes for some good sleeping at night!
