Time to clean the kennel!
I need Bronx to just hang out in Place while I do so. He has learned what Place means but hasn’t been very good at holding it around distractions at home. He’s a pup who has practiced taking action before thinking, and so having hold still and observe more is challenging for him but oh so important to practice. Leash tethered to the wall helps prevent him from running off too far if I need to guide him back to the cot. Funny thing is he wasn’t as worried about the vacuum itself but the cord as it retracted back to it. Funny little pup!

Best buds Biscuit and Winston reunited and had a blast together today!

Biscuit is learning all about jogging alongside the bicycle while staying with me this week. He is taking to it like a champ!

I’ve had the pleasure of hanging with this adorable guy the past couple of days.

A huge benefit of working with me is that I also offer boarding and day camp for training graduates. I get to spend time with cool pups and also refresh/reinforce their obedience skills while staying with me.

Another lesson with Ellie and her parents. When you have an absolutely adorable and super friendly Golden Retriever, greetings can be challenging as almost every human loves your dog.

But if you don’t show your dog how to properly greet, or your dog is routinely reinforced when she jumps and bear hugs people, then you eventually become frustrated at or embarrassed by your dog’s exuberance around people.

Ellie’s parents decided they needed help to curb this behavior, and their work over the past week really showed today as we practiced greeting neighbors. No humans were mauled by the golden bear today!

Emma is taking on more challenges during this week of her Board & Train. She has a little anxiety riding in the car, likes to express herself when people get close to the vehicle and has a hard time being still and settling. So we are practicing doing the opposite!

What a delight to meet up with Diesel today to follow up after his Board & Train. He was surprised and delighted to reunite with his buddy Bsicuit who tagged along.
