🐾📋 PEDRO’S OFFICIAL DAILY REPORT 📋🐾

Hello loyal followers,
Pedro here. Resident clinic cat. Office supervisor. Fish counter. Professional paper warmer.

Last week, the humans showed you what a day in the life of a veterinary technician looks like at Sangaree Animal Hospital… but honestly? Someone needed to show the REALLY important role around here. So naturally, I volunteered myself.

You may THINK my day consists of “sleeping” and “looking adorable,” but let me assure you… my responsibilities are extensive.

My duties include:
🐟 Counting my fish pets to ensure no one escapes
🚪 Supervising employee arrival times
🍽️ Reminding the staff every 7 minutes that I have never eaten before in my life
🧺 Conducting quality control testing on freshly folded laundry
💧 Inspecting the water cooler bubbles for suspicious activity
🐈 Letting feline patients know whose kingdom this is
📝 Keeping important paperwork warm with my body
🩺 Performing random exam room pop-ins for morale purposes
🐾 Swatting staff members when they become too confident
🐟 Keeping the fish in line with tactical glass taps
🚰 Testing sink faucets for operational excellence
💤 Verifying surgery warming tables meet nap standards
💛 And MOST importantly… making sure no employee leaves without giving me a proper goodbye snuggle.

It’s exhausting being this important, honestly.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I have another 14-hour shift of supervising the humans from various napping locations.

Signed,
Pedro 🐾
Head of Human Resources Violations
CEO of Sangaree Animal Hospital’s Feline Department 💛

👑🐾 A Message from the CEO (Chief Executive Officer… obviously): Pedro

Hello, loyal followers.

It has come to my attention that SOME of you have finally started noticing my contributions to this hospital’s social media presence.

You’re welcome.

While the doctors and staff think they’re the stars of these posts, I have been working tirelessly behind the scenes (and directly in front of the camera) to ensure maximum engagement.

📸 Strategic photo bombs.
📸 Perfectly timed appearances.
📸 Elite-level cuteness.

This is not an accident. This is branding.

You may have seen me:
👀 Supervising from the desk
👀 Appearing mysteriously in the background
👀 Casually inserting myself into photos that were CLEARLY about me anyway

And yes… it’s all intentional.

After all, as CEO, it is my duty to:
✔ Oversee daily operations
✔ Boost morale
✔ Demand snacks
✔ Ensure I remain the center of attention at all times

Now I have a question for YOU…

🐾 Have you caught all of my photo bombs?
Go back through our posts and see how many Pedro sightings you can find!

Bonus points if you:
💬 Comment your favorite Pedro appearance
📸 Share a screenshot of where you spotted me

I will be reviewing all submissions personally (from my desk… or keyboard… or wherever I decide to sit).

Carry on.

🐾🎤 PEDRO’S OFFICIAL STAFF REPORT:

Hello loyal followers,
It is I, Pedro, office CEO, keyboard inspector, and part-time emotional support gremlin. After many hours of intense investigative journalism, I have gathered Sangaree Animal Hospital’s official favorite dog breeds list. As expected… the results are chaotic.

🐶 Chihuahuas:
Tiny. Spicy. Loud enough to alert the entire county about a falling leaf. Honestly? Respect.

🐶 Pit Bulls:
Big block heads. Bigger hearts. 14/10 cuddle potential.

🐶 Miniature Schnauzers:
Tiny beards. Tiny judges. They absolutely look like they pay taxes early.

🐶 German Shepherds:
Smart. Loyal. Probably capable of filing their own medical records.

🐶 Beagles:
Professional snack hunters and dramatic opera singers.

🐶 Coonhounds:
Basically if “YEEHAW” became a dog breed.

🐶 Golden Retrievers:
No thoughts. Only happiness. Honestly the emotional support dogs of the world.

🐶 Yellow Labs:
Same energy as the friend who says “I brought chips!” to every gathering.

🐶 Flat-Coated Retrievers:
Golden Retriever energy… but with ✨mystery✨.

🐶 Anatolian Shepherds:
A dog breed roughly the size of a compact SUV. Bold choice. Slightly terrifying.

🐶 Bull Terriers:
Walking eggs with muscles and zero concern for personal space. Incredible choice.

🐶 Wheatons:
Fluffy chaos muppets powered entirely by enthusiasm.

🐶 Boykins:
South Carolina’s finest swamp nuggets. 10/10 adventure buddies.

🐶 Dachshunds:
Long dogs. Long ears. Loud opinions.

🐶 Pugs:
Built like potatoes. Breathe like accordions. Loved by all.

🐶 Maltese:
Tiny, fluffy, and fully convinced they are royalty. Basically a cloud with opinions.

🐺 And MY choice?
Czechoslovakian Wolfdogs.
Because if you’re going to dream big… dream “escaped from the forest and stole your sandwich” big.

Now tell me, humans…
👇 What’s YOUR favorite dog breed and why?

Signed,
Pedro

Behind every patient visit, surgery, phone call, tail wag, and happy discharge is a veterinary technician working hard behind the scenes. 💙🐾

A vet tech’s day starts long before the first appointment walks through the door. From prepping treatment areas and surgery suites, to running lab work, taking x-rays, monitoring hospitalized patients, assisting doctors during exams and procedures, communicating with clients, filling medications, comforting nervous pets, cleaning, organizing, and somehow still finding time to sneak in cuddles with patients… there’s never a dull moment!

Our technicians wear MANY hats throughout the day:
🩺 Nurse
🧪 Lab technician
📞 Educator & client communicator
📸 Radiology technician
💉 Surgical assistant
❤️ Patient advocate
🧼 Cleaner & organizer
🐶 Professional treat giver

Veterinary medicine is fast-paced, emotional, rewarding, exhausting, and full of heart. Every member of our team helps make sure your pets receive compassionate, high-quality care from the moment they walk through our doors until they head back home.

The next time you visit, don’t forget to give your veterinary technicians a little extra love — they truly do it all. 💙🐾

🚨 Official Announcement from Hospital CEO Pedro 🚨

As many of you may have noticed, I have recently accepted an additional leadership role here at Sangaree Animal Hospital…

🐟 Professional Fish-Keeper 🐟

After several intense staring sessions, quality inspections, and approximately 47 hours of “supervision,” I have officially decided the fish tank is under my protection.

My duties currently include:
✔️ Monitoring fish behavior
✔️ Judging their swimming technique
✔️ Supervising bubble production
✔️ Conducting hourly snack breaks
✔️ Sitting dramatically beside the tank for morale support

So far, the fish seem…acceptable.
No write-ups have been issued yet.

Please note:
❌ I am NOT allowed to “boop” the fish
❌ I am NOT allowed to “taste test” the fish
❌ Apparently “pawing at the glass” is considered “unprofessional”

I would also like everyone to know that this promotion came with:
✨ Zero pay raise
✨ Increased responsibilities
✨ Unlimited admiration from staff and clients

Honestly? Typical management.

Stop by and say hi to me and my new aquatic coworkers during your next visit! I’ll be the one working very hard while pretending not to nap.

CEO, Morale Manager, Fish-Keeping Specialist, and Employee of the Month (again) 🐾

🐱💜 Low Stress Handling for Felines: From Home to the Clinic and Back Again 💜🐱

Let’s be honest… most cats are not thrilled about car rides or vet visits. 🚗😿

But feline veterinary care does not have to be a stressful experience.

Cats are incredibly sensitive to changes in environment, smells, sounds, and routine — and fear can begin long before they even arrive at the clinic. That’s why low-stress feline handling is so important every step of the way.

🐾 Here are a few ways to help make visits easier for your cat:

🏠 Before You Leave Home
• Leave the carrier out year-round so it feels familiar
• Add soft bedding and favorite treats
• Use calming pheromone sprays or supplements if recommended
• Keep the environment calm and quiet before the trip

🚗 During the Car Ride
• Secure the carrier so it doesn’t slide around
• Cover the carrier lightly with a towel or blanket
• Avoid loud music and unnecessary stops
• Speak softly and calmly

🏥 At the Clinic
Fear Free and feline-friendly handling techniques help reduce anxiety and create a safer experience for both pets and people. Sometimes less restraint, quieter voices, and slower movements make all the difference.

💊 Some Cats Need Extra Support — And That’s Okay
For especially anxious kitties, pre-visit medications can dramatically reduce stress and help create a much more positive experience.

❤️ Back at Home
After the visit, allow your cat time to decompress in a quiet space with familiar smells, cozy bedding, and lots of patience.

A calmer cat means:
✅ Safer handling
✅ More accurate exams
✅ Less fear and anxiety
✅ Better lifelong veterinary care

Because every cat deserves veterinary visits that feel as safe and stress-free as possible. 🐾✨

WE ARE CLOSED TODAY...BUT

🐾 Pedro has a Memorial Day Safety Reminder! 🐾

Hello friends,
CEO Pedro here to remind everyone that while Memorial Day is full of fun, food, and celebration… it can also be a stressful and dangerous holiday for our furry family members! ❤️💙

As we gather to honor and remember our heroes this weekend, don’t forget to keep your pets safe too!

🐶 Keep pets cool and hydrated
🌭 Avoid sharing BBQ foods, bones, alcohol, and greasy treats
🎆 Fireworks can be scary — create a quiet, safe indoor space
🏷️ Make sure collars, ID tags, and microchip information are up to date
🚗 Never leave pets in a parked car — even for “just a minute”
☀️ Limit outdoor time during the hottest parts of the day

Some pets love the holiday excitement… and some would rather celebrate with snacks and a nap in the AC (personally, I vote for option two). 😸

From all of us at Sangaree Animal Hospital, we wish you a safe, relaxing, and meaningful Memorial Day weekend as we honor those who served our country. ❤️🤍💙

☀️🐾 Pet Approved Safe Summer Treats! 🐾☀️

Summer is heating up, and our pets deserve cool treats too! 🍉🫐🍦

Not every “people snack” is safe for dogs and cats, but there are plenty of healthy, refreshing options your furry family members can safely enjoy during the warmer months.

🐶🐱 Some pet-approved favorites include:

🍉 Watermelon (seedless & rind removed)
🫐 Blueberries
🥕 Carrots
🎃 Pumpkin
🥜 Xylitol-free peanut butter
🧊 Frozen broth cubes or frozen yogurt treats

These treats can help:
✅ Keep pets hydrated
✅ Provide enrichment
✅ Support healthy digestion
✅ Offer a cooling reward after outdoor play

⚠️ A few important reminders:
• Treats should always be given in moderation
• Remove seeds, pits, stems, and rinds
• Avoid artificial sweeteners like xylitol (VERY toxic!)
• Introduce new foods slowly to avoid tummy upset

And remember — every pet is different! Pets with allergies, pancreatitis, diabetes, kidney disease, or sensitive stomachs may need special recommendations.

If you’re ever unsure whether a snack is safe, give us a call before sharing! 💙

Here’s to cool treats, wagging tails, happy purrs, and safe summer memories! ☀️🐕🐈
