🐾 Today's Pet Health Tip: HOT SPOTS (Acute Moist Dermatitis) – What You Need to Know 🐾

Hot spots are painful, inflamed patches of skin that often appear when pets scratch or lick an area excessively. 🔥 These spots can grow quickly and become infected if left untreated. Early detection is key! Keep an eye out for: Localized redness / Excessive licking or biting / Hair loss (due to irritation).

To prevent and treat hotspots:
✔️ Keep your pet’s skin clean and dry, especially after baths or outdoor playtime.
✔️ Address underlying causes like allergies, flea infestations or infections that could be causing the irritation.
