🐾 Worried about dog bites? Most are preventable!
Keeping both pets and people safe starts with education and awareness—especially around kids and unfamiliar dogs.

Here are three simple tips to reduce the risk of bites:
👉 Teach children to always ask before petting a dog.
👉 Never approach a dog that’s eating, sleeping, or caring for puppies.
👉 Learn to spot early stress signs: lip licking, yawning, turning way

☀️ There’s no letting up in this heat, and pets are especially vulnerable. Heat stress can happen quickly—especially with too much activity or being left in a closed vehicle, even on a mild day. 🐾

Short-nosed dogs like Boxers, Bulldogs and Boston Terriers are particularly at risk. Early signs to watch for: Rapid, heavy panting, elevated body temperature, weakness or disorientation.

If you notice these symptoms, seek veterinary care immediately—heat stress can become life-threatening fast. 🐈‍⬛

Help keep your pets safe by:

✔ Providing fresh water
✔ Limiting exercise in the heat
✔ Never leaving pets in parked cars
✔ Keeping them in cool, shaded areas

How to safely handle pet food and treats? 🐶🐱🍖

Keeping your best friends healthy starts with good pet practices in the kitchen! Here are a few simple tips to make mealtime both safe and satisfying:

🧼 Wash up! Always wash your hands before and after handling pet food.
🚫 No mixing bowls! Don’t combine old food with new—it can lead to spoilage.
🫙 Seal the deal. Store treats in airtight containers to keep them fresh and crunchy.
📅 Stay fresh. Check those expiration dates to avoid tummy troubles.

A little care goes a long way toward keeping your furry friend happy and healthy! 🐾
