Outback Riders of Wisconsin Stewards of the OBR Machickanee Trail System in Oconto County! Outback Riders, Inc.

was established to create and maintain a public bridle path in the Machickanee Forest and the Oconto River Trail in accordance with the Special Recreational Use Permit granted by the Oconto County Forestry & Parks Department; to hold family oriented equine related social activities and fundraisers. The Outback Riders operate as a non-profit corporation in accordance with the laws of the state of Wisconsin.

To whomever littered up the OBR parking lot with their fireworks last night- our club puts a ton of work and expense to improve the Machickanee Forrest, - this DOES NOT HELP IN OUR EFFORTS.
Please go light your fireworks somewhere else

Please respect designated bridle path and remain on the trails

Trails may open April 26th if weather continues to go well.

Please be patient with things as there is still frost in the ground and OBR is updating the map system, new maps and markers are being installed and should be ready on or around the 25th!

Outback Riders old and new trail maps for comparison located at intersection of Brehmer Rd. & Timberline Rd.
We will be updating info as we finalize the maps before riding season.
Parking/Trail Head is for day/ & overnight stays. We expanded the parking lot to the west of the trail head parking area.

Need to give a huge shout out to the student lineman at NWTC for making a dream come true for the OBR Club!High Lines are up and we couldn’t have done this without you!!
