The snow monkeys practiced their problem-solving skills this morning by opening peanut butter jars! The peanut butter is a food they're more than happy to work for, as it's one of their favorites, and a special treat they aren't given very often. It didn't take Ashiko long to open this jar, as you can see.🥜Yum!

Have you been by to see our little tamarin yet? He's getting big and he officially has a name! He's been dubbed "Ponchito" after his biological dad, Poncho, who passed away earlier this year. Step-dad Gio is doing an amazing job raising him with mom, Aquila. The whole family is fun to watch!

It's here! We're raising funds today for red panda conservation at our International Red Panda Day celebration from 9am-2pm! Join us for games and crafts, educational presentations and displays, carousel rides and a bounce house, and more! DYK: American white pelicans have huge pouches they use to scoop fish from water. After catching fish, the pelican will tip her head forward to drain the water, then toss her head back to swallow the fish. We saw quite a few questions about Ahava's behavior in her most recent video. Although we joked about how she was cranky and "not a morning person," the truth is that Ahava was quite happy in the video! Snow leopards make growly noises, even hissing and grumbling a bit, as part of their normal "conversations." It doesn't automatically mean they are upset, as it would with your cat at home.
