Mit Liebe (which means "with love" in German), GSD Rescue is a non-profit organization that helps neglected, abused, and or abandoned German Shepherd Dogs. Our rescue is made up of a handful of dedicated volunteers that pride themselves in dog care, training, fundraising, and communication with the public on responsible pet ownership and the importance of spaying and neutering their pets. The dogs

that come into our care are taken to the vet for a check-up, heartworm testing, and all current vaccinations the dog may need. The dogs are placed in a foster home for a minimum of three weeks prior to being available for adoption. During this time the dogs are evaluated by the foster parents on temperament, likes and dislikes, how they react to cats and/or children, and their energy level and drive. The foster parents also work with the animals on basic obedience training and house manners as well. ADOPTION FEE:
0-11 months = $375
1 year - 7 years = $325
8 years and older = $250

ZEUS NEEDS A FOSTER
(Cat-Free Foster 🐈🚫)

Unfortunately, Zeus has officially been voted off the island by the resident cats in his foster home. 🐱❌ While Zeus thinks cats are very interesting, the cats strongly disagree, so this handsome guy is in need of a cat-free foster or forever home.

And before you ask... no, the gray on his face doesn't mean he's a senior citizen. Zeus is actually a young boy with lots of love, personality, and life ahead of him!

❤️ What we love about Zeus:
✔️ Housebroken
✔️ Crate trained (goes right in when told "kennel" and settles quickly)
✔️ Walks beautifully on leash
✔️ Knows sit, down, leave it, heel, and kennel
✔️ Extremely affectionate and loves his people
✔️ Friendly and outgoing with humans

🐶 Zeus has done well with slow, structured introductions to other dogs, though he can be possessive over toys, so continued management and supervision are important.

Zeus is looking for a home that can provide structure, guidance, and lots of love. In return, you'll get a loyal companion who wants nothing more than to be part of the family.

HITACHI IS SAFE!

Thanks to everyone who stepped up to help us get Hitachi back home safe. It takes a village sometimes. Thank you to everyone involved in searching, handing out flyers, and sharing the information & big thanks to his foster mom & his temp foster mom for their relentless efforts in getting him back home safe.❤️❤️

Meet Dori! She’s looking for a foster or forever home.

Shes a very sweet, young pup who does well with other dogs. Kids & cats are unknown.

Here’s more info: Dori is a sweet, affectionate girl who is ready to find a family of her own. She loves spending time with her people and enjoys nothing more than being outside playing with a ball or rope toy. Whether she’s splashing in the water, going for a walk, or soaking up the sunshine, Dori is happiest when she’s active and engaged.

Dori walks nicely on leash and is making great progress with her confidence. She can still be a little timid when passing strangers, but with patience, encouragement, and continued exposure, she’s already showing that she’s capable of overcoming her fears. She’s very treat-motivated, which makes training both fun and rewarding.

This smart girl is currently learning basic commands like sit and stay, and she already has a great recall foundation—she’ll happily come when you whistle or point to the ground. Dori eats and drinks well and is doing well with her house training. While she’s still learning the routine, she keeps her kennel clean and is making steady progress. She does best when given a distraction-free potty break, as toys can sometimes be more exciting than the task at hand!

Dori has done well meeting other dogs in neutral environments and while on leash. At this time, her compatibility with cats and children is unknown.

If you’re looking for a loving companion who enjoys adventure, playtime, and plenty of affection, Dori may be the perfect addition to your family.

She came in marked as caution and was very uncomfortable with handling. With a lot of decompression, she has come along way and has done better didn’t allow for petting and while meeting another dog, but she is still nervous with people.

She would do best in a home with adults who will give her adequate time to decompress and go slow with her.

Prayers needed today for Thunder as he undergoes surgery to remove the bullet lodged in his knee from when he arrived to us. We don’t know what lead to this, but we’re definitely going to make sure it’s not something that he needs to suffer from any longer.
